"Good afternoon to all Karasuno learners," Greeted the speaker, her voice booming through the speakers around the hall.
"Today, I feel very privileged and honoured to stand here in front of you all and acknowledge the achievements of our brilliant students who have made both the school and their parents proud," The speaker stood behind the lectern as she finishes her introduction speech.
The auditorium was filled with applause and whistles where all the entire students of Karasuno highschoolers watched, even the seniors, teachers and prinicipal were there to witness the awarding of the Science Fair.
The sounds of the crowd become part of the happy center of my brain, reaching in and pulling out the joy, I felt a little nervous but overall, I was really overjoyed that we were given the opportunity to have this award.
Yacchan would be the one who'll get interviewed on stage, and I'm feeling a little nervous for her, but I know she'll handle it flawlessly. The auditorium was now closely-packed as it filled each seats in each rows.
"We have Hitoka Yachi from Class Five, the representative of the group who won the first place of Karasuno High's Science Fair this year," The speaker introduced Yacchan as they signaled her to step on stage.
"With her specific group members from Class Four, Yamaguchi Tadashi and from Class One, Hinata Shoyou! With their remarkable and marvelous research about natto and its probiotics, I'm sure everyone would love natto after hearing about their research!"
Hinata-kun and I stood up from our seats to show gratitude and appreciation from the greetings and cheers we were receiving, we bowed our heads and smiled towards the crowd, everybody seemed to cheer so loudly.
There are many kinds of crowds, though and this was full of energy, the kind that makes excitement bubble beneath your skin and vibrates right down to the bones. The energy was contagious. I can literally feel and hear the high voltage zinging through all the people.
But my eyes seemed to search for someone through the ocean of crowds.
Someone specific.
A boy who wore glasses, and had the palest complexion with blonde hair.
Tsukki.
My eyes landed on him immediately, our eyes meeting as he peered over Hinata and I. His expression was still the same. Stoic, aloof and impassive, but his eyes were soft. It was unsettingly deep, sunken and penetrating.
The people around me seemed to blur out of the picture, their loud cheering drown down in my ears, as if underwater, everything seemed to be warbled and distorted - but not Tsukki. He was clear as day as we both stared through the crowd. His stare was exquisite and alluring, I was out of breath.
"Yamaguchi-kun! It's Yachi-san's turn to speak! You better support your girlfriend," Hinata nudged his elbow on my arm, making me blink back in reality, interrupting our eye contact, I averted my eyes away from Tsukki.
I gave Hinata a small smile before sitting down, "Right," I let out a soft chuckle and quickly fixed my gaze on Yacchan standing right before everyone's eyes on stage with her genuine smile she always wore.
"Good afternoon everyone! I am very honored to be here and I couldn't be more thankful for all the srudents and teachers who supported this project of ours," Yacchan started to speak over the microphone, her voice echoing around the auditorium.
Yacchan's emotions were not easily hidden on her innocent face. She had a kind of understated beauty, perhaps it was because she was so disarmingly unaware of her prettiness.
