In each passing time, the classroom grew emptier as all the students went home one by one. Yacchan had passed by the classroom earlier to tell me that her mom is going to fetch her by car once they're dismissed, they happened to have a formal dinner with her mom's co-workers, so I won't be able to walk her to the bus station.
I checked my watch and it was already around 5:30 pm, the sun was already starting to sink from the horizon, since during the month of November, day time was shorter than night time.
I sighed on my seat as I saw Tsukki still sitting by his desk, his headphones was on as usual and he was staring through the window as if thinking about something so deeply, the orange, setting sun reflected on his face, bringing out the glow of his face.
During months of November throughout halfway February, the land was a shiver of white and the stars felt more distant in the coldness of winter, sunsets came in the kind of oranges that bring warmth to eyes and soul.
My trail of thoughts were immediately cut by a loud clacking of heels approaching the door, I peered over the door where our advisory teacher appeared, standing by the door frame with her hair all over her face, disoriented senses as she held a big box in her hands.
"Did everybody went home?" She asked, her eyes glancing around the empty room, her voice sounded a bit panicky.
I pursed my lips together as I did the same - I glanced around the room and the classroom was already empty but Tsukki on his seat, not taking notice of our teacher's presence as he still continued to gaze over the window.
"Pretty much, Suzuki-senpai," I replied with a smile, as I held my bag over my shoulder.
Suzuki-senpai heaved a heavy sigh, her face masked in disappointment, "Oh my, I was going to ask your classmates to arrange these Christmas decorations for me, I haven't fetched my son from his school and it's already pass five o'clock!"
She let herself in to place the box on the teacher's table, "Yamaguchi-kun, Tsukishima-kun, could you please arrange these decors for me?" Suzuki-senpai asked in the most politest way, as she intertwined her fingers together in front of her, giving me the puppy eyes.
I was hesitant at first because I wouldn't know how to interact with Tsukki, but I didn't want to turn down my teacher, "Um . . . I don't know Suzuki-senpai," I gave her a sad smile as I scratched the back of my head.
"Please! I'll give you both an extra credit for my subject," She negotiated and at the same time pleaded.
I sighed and shrugged my shoulders, "I guess it won't take that long to set it up," I rub my nape in agitation as I eyed the box behind her, "Okay, we'll do it Suzu-"
"No, I'm going home," Tsukki remarked, cutting me mid sentence from behind as he shuffled on his seat, fixing his bag before strapping it on his shoulder.
The hope that shimmered in my teacher's eyes instantly disappeared, "Tsukishima-kun, please!" She pleaded, again.
Tsukki rolled his eyes, "Nope, not gonna happen,"
Suzuki-senpai quirked an eyebrow, "Even for a ten credited points?" She smirked, crossing her arms in front of her confidently.
Tsukki's head shot back up and stared at Suzuki-senpai for a few seconds, "Twenty," He hammered out, crossing his arms, too.
Suzuki-senpai's face twists in shock, "That is too much! Fifteen!"
"Thirty,"
Giving up the negotiation, Suzuki-senpai groaned, flipping her hands in the air giving her the urge to roll her eyes, "Fine! Thirty! Make sure you guys put up all the decoration, then,"
