The Tale of Kyo Uchiha

chapter 45- pass or fail: survival test

Kyo waited anxiously to see which jonin would walk through the door announcing to be her squad leader. Surrounded by all her friends she noticed they were buzzing with excitement. There were a bunch of jonin she knew but only a few she would be okay with having for her squad leader.

Asuma

Kakashi

Kurenai

Gai

She knew gai already had a team so she knew it wouldn't be him and she had a feeling asuma would end up with ino, shikamaru, and choji so she didn't think it would be him either. She also didn't think the Hokage would put her brother with her squad since it would be a conflict of interest. So Kyo was pretty sure Kurenai would be their squad leader.

That was until the jonin she was thinking about came in to grab their new students one by one. As she suspected, ino-shika-cho would be taken care of by asuma. To her surprise, kurenai would be watching over hinata, kiba & akamaru, and shino. Other jonin she either didn't know or didn't care about came to get the others until it was just her team left in the classroom. Whoever their squad leader was, they were super late. Everyone else already met their teachers and even iruka sensei left already.

That's when kyo realized who her squad leader would be. She sighed and put her head down on the desk she was sitting at.

"What's the matter?" sasuke asked her.

She looked over to him and said "we're gonna be here a while"

"So he's gonna be our teacher huh?"

"I mean he's the only one I can think of who would be this late."

Sasuke sighed as well and said "You're probably right."

"But hey! That means we won't have somebody lame as our teacher. We can learn a lot from him."

Sasuke hmphed and turned his attention to the loudmouth in the room who was definitely up to something.

Naruto was sticking his head out the door looking for whoever their teacher would be.

"Naruto! Just sit down!" said sakura.

"Yeah naruto there's no point in getting all riled up. If our teacher is who i think it is, we're gonna be here for a while." said kyo.

"I don't want to. How come our teacher's the only one who's late? All the other groups got to meet their new teachers and took off on some sort of adventure or something." said naruto.

"We know." said sakura.

Naruto then walked over to the chalkboard and grabbed the eraser. He then went and tried to prop it up on the door so whoever opened it would cause the eraser to fall on their head.

"Hey what are you doing naruto?" said sakura.

Naruto chuckled and said "That's what he gets for coming late"

"You know you shouldn't do that" said sakura.

Kyo looked over at Sakura and knew that Sakura was enjoying this just as much as Naruto was. Even Kyo was hoping this prank would work.

"Hopefully the chalk gets all over his face." laughed kyo.

"Our teacher's a jonin, an elite ninja. Do you really think he'd fall for that?" said sasuke.

"Yeah sasuke's right you're so clueless naruto" said sakura.

Just then a hand reached out at the door and started to open it.

All 4 of them had their eyes locked on the door waiting to see if naruto's prank would be effective.

The door opened revealing exactly who kyo thought it was and the eraser fell on his head then landed on the floor with a thud. After about a second of silence both naruto and kyo started laughing.
