The Tale of Kyo Uchiha

chapter 44- sasuke and sakura: friends or foes?

Kyo was the one to wake sasuke this time by jumping on him while he was in his bed. Today was the day the both of them were going to be placed on a ninja team. Kyo had been waiting for this day for years so she was really excited.

"Rise and shine Sasuke-nii!!!! Today's the day we get our team placements!" said kyo.

She was sitting on him and he grunted at her yelling. Then he shoved her off of him and kyo fell on the floor with a "WAH".

Not even a second later she was back on top of sasuke shaking him telling him to get up.

"Alright, alright get off me kyo" said sasuke.

He wouldn't dare admit it but he wasn't entirely dreading this. This was another step towards becoming stronger which in turn brought him closer to his goal. He just hoped that he wouldn't be put with a bunch of losers. He also hoped that Kyo would be placed on his team so that they could be together.

Add this to the list of things sasuke feels but would never admit to, but he worries for kyo when she goes on all these missions. He has complete faith in her abilities but it makes him a bit nervous to know she's out there where he can't protect her if she needs it. If they were on a team together then he would be able to protect her and look out for her a bit better.

The two of them got themselves ready, ate breakfast and then walked over to the academy and sat in sasuke's usual seat with kyo next to him. They were one of the first ones there so they patiently waited for everyone to show up.

Soon enough the classroom was almost full. Naruto had come in and sat down in his seat after waving to Kyo and glaring at sasuke. Shikamaru and Choji walked in together and Choji started to talk to Kyo when Shikamaru started talking to Naruto which grabbed her attention.

"What are you doing here naruto? This isn't for dropouts. You can't be here unless you graduated." said shikamaru.

"Oh yeah? Oh yeah? Do you see this? Open your eyes, shikamaru, it's a regulation headband." responded naruto.

Kyo started laughing at his sassy response when all of a sudden the door burst open and Ino and Sakura shoved their way through.

"Oh boy, here we go." said Kyo.

Sasuke sighed next to her and then the whole thing started.

The two of them started arguing over who was gonna sit next to sasuke. Kyo looked over and saw that Naruto was looking at Sakura with a blush on his face.

"What's that about?"

That, kyo, is the look a boy gives a girl that he has a crush on

"Naruto's got a crush on sakura?"

That's what it seems like but I think he has someone else in mind that he likes a bit more

"What do you mean?"

I mean I think he likes someone else in a different, more deep way than he does sakura. But he's just a boy so the feelings he has are strange and difficult to maneuver.

"Who do you think that is romo?"

You can figure that one out on your own kyo

"Man you're no fun" 

Romo chuckled to himself at Kyo's words and was looking forward to the day she would come to terms with her crush on Naruto and realize that he may like her too.

Kyo pouted a bit and thought to herself.

"I don't like that he's looking at her like that. But I don't know why? Am I? Jealous?"
