Au in which Reaper and Geno met earlier.
Reaper woke to a strange beeping sound. "What... Where am I?" He tried to sit up and let out a small yelp. "Ow. Ow. That hurts..."
"You're *cough* awake. The nurse will be happy."
Reaper turned hid head lightly. Even that hurt. "What..?"
The boy smiled. He looked very weak. Is he sick? "I was with my friends Sugar and Sour. We were going to see the house on the hill cuz Sour heard it was haunted."
"My house! Mama will be looking for me when she comes home! I have to go back!" Reaper attempted to sit up as he heard the beeping speed up.
The other boy yelped. "Nurse!"
A lady in white came in. She had a needle. Next thing Reaper knew, he was asleep.
Reaper woke up to the dark next time. HE looked around carefully. This looked kinda like a doctors room. He remembered being in one when Grim was born. Is he hurt? Is that why he's at the doctors?
"Are you... Okay?" It was the boy from earlier. He still looked sick.
Reaper didn't try to move this time. He remembered what happened. He was on the roof fixing the hole and he heard voices. He tried to hide but he slipped and fell. "It hurts. I want my mama..." He felt tears roll down his cheeks.
"Oh.. I couldn't find your mom anywhere at the house so me and Sugar and Sour brought you here..." The other boy trailed off.
"You won't be able to. She left. She said she'd come back..." Reaper sniffled.
The other boy was quiet. "How old are you?"
Reaper had to think about it. How old was he again? "Th-thirteen."
The other boy smiled. "Me too! I'm Geno. If you want I can come see you every day until you get better, since you don't have anyone else."
Reaper felt touched. "Mhmm. I-I'm Reaper."
"Nice to meet you Reaper!" Geno had such a bright smile.
