Please pardon my Raven tangent. I am projecting onto a character I haven't developed as much. And Raven and Goth needed bonding.  Help.

Raven was smart. He did well in school and was in the top 15 of his class. He was proud of this fact but never bragged about it.

He was 15 and a sophmore in school when his intelligence was questioned. He was 15 when he met Lindsey May.

   "Raven."

   Raven looked up. "Mhmm?"

"You're a cheat aren't you?" The girl sneered. "There's no way a lazy flirt like you does that well in school."

Raven was taken aback. He never even talked fo this girl. "What?"

"I'm saying its my word against yours. And I'll convince everyone you cheat in school unless you do my work." She grinned.

Raven frowned and closed his book. "My brother is waiting for me."

"Help help hes trying to kidnap me!"  She cried.

Raven panicked. "What!? No that's not true!"

"Says the boy who flirts with everyone in school." She smirked. "So?"

   Raven fidgeted. "Fine."

So for the next two months Raven did double the work. His sleep began to dwindle again. He just got it to a healthy amount. It only got worse.

   "Stupid."

Raven grit his teeth and looked up. "Yes Lindsey?"

Lindsey was holding onto the arm of a guy. "This is my boyfriend Jackson. I want you to do his work too."

   "What? No way."

"Help! Stop touching me!" She cried with an evil grin. Jackson mirrored it.

   Ravens soul twisted. "Fine!"

Now it was three times the work. His grades began to slip. His sleep dwindled back to the amount it was a year ago. He stopped going to his appointments.

Eventually Goth noticed the change. He frowned as Raven got in his car after school. "Your backpack looks heavy."

"I've got a lot of work." Raven answered.

"What is up with you?" Goth huffed a little worried for his younger brother. Raven never acted like this.

"Nothing." Raven huffed. So now Goth cared. Great.

   "What's wrong?" Goth asked again.

   "Nothing Goth!" Raven snapped.

Goth grit his teeth and shut up. He watched his brother work and work and work until well past one in the morning. No one should have thst much work.

Goth went in to the high school office after school the next day. The teachers all said they weren't giving that much homework.

Goth was puzzled. He headed back to the car with a sigh.

   "Help! Get him off!"

Goth took off toward the cry. He stopped around the corner.

There was his brother surrounded by a girl and three rather large guys. Football players.

   "Do the work or else."

"I'm already doing three times my normal work! Isn't that enough?" Raven huffed backing against the wall. He had never gotten physically hurt by these guys before but this time... his eye hurt. It was blackened already.

"Well our grades aren't good enough. So you have to do more work. Or I'll tell everyone you tried to rape me." This girl was insane.

Goth grit his teeth and hurried over. "Back off of him."

Raven looked over. His soul flipped. He was both relieved and pissed to see Goth. Goth was an Adult. 21 almost 22. He was saved. But Goth shouldn't have butt in.

"Mister you don't get it! He flirts with everyone! Ita only a matter of time before he does rape someone!" Lindsey desperately tried to condone her actions.

"Raven would never. He flirts yes but he knows what something like that can do to a person. Now leave before I tell the school and your parents. Raven will not be doing your work for you." Goth tossed the papers at them.

Raven watched as they all scattered. "Thanks..."

Goth turned to his brother. "Why didn't you just tell us? That girl wasn't just bullying you those were full on threats." He paused running his fingers over the blackened socket. "Which one hit you?"

"The middle one. Jackson." Raven admitted. Now Raven was by no means scrawny. He was tough and could hold his own. He wasn't the best at fighting but... He hadn't slept well and it was three on one.

"C'mon. Lets get home and get some ice for that." Goth sighed letting it go for now.

   Raven blinked. "Yeah... sure."
