Starlight and Sunshine

   Quiet Part 2

   "Hey. Hey. Fresh. Starlight. Are you with me..?" The voice was soft and comforting. I wanted to go towards it.
   I blinked open my eyes. There was an obnoxious beeping in the room. A.. hospital? What? "H-huh?"
   "There you are Starlight..." Club gave a soft sigh of relief. "You scared me..."
   "What... happened?" A face flashed through my mind. I clutched Club's hand tightly. Was that real? My side hurts. A lot.
   "We were running in the mall. You slipped and hit the edge of a bench. Your rib cracked. You sounded like you were having a pretty bad dream. The nurse said it was probably because of the medicine." Club whispered rubbing his thumb against the back of my hand.
   It wasn't real. My mind made it all up. I gave a sigh of relief and let my entire body relax. "Thank God..."
   "Are you okay Starlight?" He sounded so worried.
   "Yeah... I like that nickname." I murmured.
   He smiled and pressed a kiss to my forehead. "I'm glad. I thought you would like it."
   "I love you.." I murmured pressing a kiss to the back of his hand. That's a first. We had never said I love you before.
   Club paused momentarily shocked. His face flushed a pale color and he smiled shyly. "I love you too Starshine..."
   I laced my fingers with his. "You're so nice to me. So patient. Perfect."
   He blushed worse. "You're definitely still high off of those pain meds."
   "What? Can't I compliment my boyfriend?" I whispered lightly.
   He gave a small laugh and kissed my head again. "Sure. You do that Fresh."
   "My side hurts."
   "Want me to kiss it better?" Club asked jokingly.
   I was tempted to hit him with my pillow. "No. Is Jess here?"
   "He's with Error. They can swing by tomorrow. Right now you need rest," Club insisted.
   I whined but didn't argue much more. "Fine... I love you Sunshine."
   He smiled and kissed my head. "Love you too Starlight."
