   Pre book 2.

"Geno...?" I called softly. I didn't WANT to wake Geno but I had no choice. Error doesn't like me, Ma needs rest, Asy. . . Asy scared me sometimes. I trusted Geno.

I pushed the door open a bit more. "A-are you awake...?" I asked. My hands still trembled with the lingering effects of the nightmare.

The blanket shifted and his head popped up. "Fresh..?" He asked groggy and tired. He rubbed his socket. "Hey. What's wrong?"

"I.. I can't sleep..." I murmured gripping the edge of the doorframe. "Everytime I sleep I see his eyes."

Geno sat up in bed. "Oh Fresh..." He whispered. He pat the side of the bed. "C'mere bro."

I carefully slid inside and sat on the bed. I sniffled and wiped under my sockets. My face was still flushed from crying.

Geno scooted over and lifted the cover.

I slid in beside him and put my head on his shoulder. He was always so kind and protective. Even before. . . Geno is a good brother.

"You wanna talk or just sit?" Geno hummed.

I buried my face in his sleeve. "Just sit."

He hummed and nodded. "That's okay. Just sitting is kinda nice."

I nodded and gave a small yawn.

Geno hummed and then paused as if he got an idea. He pulled the blanket over us carefully. Then he began to sing. It was a soft lullaby with words that flowed in and out. His voice was soothing.

Within minutes I felt myself drift off to sleep. No more eyes plagued me that night. dr
