Okay but what if Fresh went home from Disneyland that day?

I bit into the mans hand and got my chin up. "MOM!" I screamed as loud as I could.

The man visibly tensed. "Faris you little gremlin. Don't make this more difficult than it needs to be–"

"Fresh? Fresh baby are you– What are you doing to my son!?" Ma squawked.

He growled but dropped me and took off. I clutched my shirt above my soul. My soul was racing.

"Fresh. Baby are you okay? What did he do..?" Ma asked bending down and checking me all over. "Fresh? Answer me!"

I was lightheaded. "D-drugs... my arm..." I murmured.

She rolled my sleeve up and winced at the sight. Magic has begun to drip. The needle has slipped when I bit him. It would scar. "Come on. We gotta get you out of here."

I nodded and stumbled. "Deccy's hat..." I murmured.

Ma lifted me into her arms and grabbed the hat. "It'll be okay. Come on Fresh."

I shuddered. I felt... watched. Is he watching me still? My mind fogged. My vision went. And I was asleep.

I opened my eyes to the car ride. The sun was going down. "Huh..?"

"Fresh? Are you okay..?" Deccy asked with worry in his voice."

I blinked and looked down at my arm. There were bandages where rhe man had stuck the needle. "Yeah. I'm all good. Dizzy..."

Dec sighed and nodded. "I'm glad. You really freaked us all out a bit when we heard you scream.."

"What happened..?" I rubbed my head lightly. Everything was fuzzy still.

"Your mom came back carrying you. She didn't think it was serious so we left, got some ace bandages at the store, and went home," Dec explained softly.

"Oh. Did they find the man..?" I touched the bandages gently.

   "What man?" Dec asked.

"The one that tried to kidnap me."

"You were almost kidnapped!?" Dec screeched.

   The driver winced. "Boys!"

"Quiet down Deccy. It's no biggie."

"No biggie!? You could have beem taken Fresh!" Dec was clearly freaked.

"I'm sorry..?" I raised a brow a bit at his concern.

He frowned and looked down. "Yeah... I know." he crossed his arms and turned to look out the window.

Something made me shudder. The sense of... being watched. It was a nauseating sensation. I looked out the windows. There's no way I could be watched. We're in the car!

Is this paranoia? I've read about it in books before. It doesn't feel very good at all. "Hey Dec..?"

"Mhmm..?" He didn't look at me.

"Thanks. For worryin' I guess." I'm not sure what made me say it.

He turned with a look of surprise. He stared at me in silent puzzlement for a second. "You're welcome Fresh." He gave a half smile and looked back out the window.

I leaned back and sighed. My head still hurts. And my soul feels funny. But something tells me I dodged a real bullet today.
