Soulmate AU take two.

Fresh always knew about his soulmates. Hell he even knew who one of them was. Decans. His best friend. He used that term lightly. It's not like he could care for them.

The other always wrote in green pen. Dec liked to call him Green. Deccy talked about it all the time. He couldn't wait to meet Green.

I always noticed the way the pen appeared on my arms. 'Are you okay?' From Green. 'Where are you?' From Dec. Everyday. I saw them but  couldn't do anything. They might as well think I was dead. That would be better than this. . .

And then Andrew left a pen laying around. My eyelights brightened as finally came too. I glanced at the stairs. He had left earlier. Which meant he wouldn't be back until breakfast.

I stretched my leg out and dragged the pen close. I grabbed it and winced as the chains cut in strange ways. I bit the cap off and did my best to write on my arm.

   'Help me!'

I watched with a whimper as time ticked by. And then the green pen showed up.

'Where are you? What do I do?'

A sigh escaped me. 'Andrew Wilson. He has me. I dunno where. Get Deccy!!!!'

   'Who?' Green wrote.

A dark blue pen showed up in frantic writing. 'FRESH YOU'RE ALIVE!!!'

'Oh. You have names...' Green wrote. 'Andrew Wilson. I cant do much. . .'

'I got it! Ill tell your mom Fresh!!!' Dec wrote.

'Thx. Pen dying.' I wrote. I prayed they could help. I prayed Andrew didn't notice.

  'Good luck!' Green wrote.

   Dec didn't write back.

My pen ran out of ink. I wiggled a bit and whimpered. Time ticked by. I wonder what time it is? I wonder when Andrew would return... I wonder when they could make it here...

I jolted. There was a loud bang and yelling. What was going on? Is that the police? My soul twisted.

The door swung open. "I got him!" The cop called sliding his gun in the holster. "Hey kiddo. Are you Fresh?"

"Yeah..." my voice was sore and harsh.

The cop hurried to get rid of the chains. "C'mere Kid. Lets get you outta here."

I clutched onto the back of his shirt. "Where's Deccy...?"

"Decans is at the police station along with your mother and brothers." The cop answered lifting me up and heading out. He hid my face as we got into the cop car.

The ride was tense. The clock in the car read 2 AM. "Do you have a pen..?"

The cop blinked but handed over a pen. "Tell em hi for me."

I nodded lightly and uncapped the pen. My hands were shaking. 'Cops found me.'

'Thats good!' The green pen showed first.

'They did!?!?' Dec wrote. His writing was scribbled like he was frantic and crying.

'Im al–' i scribbled the work alright out. Im not alright. 'Im out.'

'Gotta go...' Green wrote as his pen disappeared.

"Are you almost here? Geno asked.' Dec wrote with shaky letters

'Yeah. . . I think.' My soul jolted again. Geno. I didn't even think about Geno...

The car parked. "Come on kid. They're waiting. And we can get you changed."

   I looked down. I was still wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I really wanted something warmer. . . "Okay. . ."

"You're oddly calm about this kiddo..." The cop murmured opening the door for me.

I got out of the car and winced. "I feel kinds numb I guess..." I murmured.

"I understand. You're a smart kid." He smiled. He was nice. . .

The police station was cold and quiet. It was early still. Not a lot of people working.

"Kid. They're right through there..." He pointed at the door.

A spike of anxiety hit me. "Oh. . ." I murmured walking forward. What am I supposed to say?

The cop pushed the door open. Everyone turned. There were lots of tears.

"FRESH!" Dec called and crossed the room in record time..I tossed his arms around my neck and squeezed.

I winced as he pressed right on a sore spot. "Hi Deccy..."

"I thought I'd never see you again." Dec trembled in my hold. "And then i was getting some water and i saw the writing and i woke mom up trying to get a pen and and–" he was hyperventilating.

I squeezed tighter as my soul tightened. "Deccy..."

He looked up. "Oh Fresh! You're crying..."

"Im sorry.." I reached up to wipe them but hiccuped. There was not stopping it now.

Dec pulled me closer and held me tight. "It's gonna be okay now. Its gonna be okay. . ."
