Storm

   Alternate story canon.

   "No! I don't want to go down there!" Fresh cried softly Clutching his blanket at the top of the stairs.

   "Fresh you have to! The storm is dangerous. We need to go into the storm cellar!" CQ was clearly stressed and frustrated.

   "It's dark! I don't wanna!!!" Fresh cried shuffling back and slipping in the mud.

   "Oh for Stars sake– COME HERE!" Asy grabbed Fresh and headed down the stairs.

   "NO! Let go!" He heard the dood slam above them and lock. His breath came in shallow gasps as he shuffled back against the wall.

   "You scared him!!!!" Error shouted.

   "Hey. Fresh. It's just us. There's a storm." Geno tried to comfort the youngest.

   Fresh was breathing to harsh and panicking to much. "DON'T TOUCH ME! STAY AWAY!" He flailed his arm and accidentally smacked Geno. In his mind he was back there. . .

   "Geno!" Error panicked.

   "I'm okay. It didn't even hurt..." Geno murmured.

   The wind roared outside. The rest of the small family collectively decided to let Fresh calm down. No one could speak to him like this.

   Fresh curled in on himself snd buried his head between his knees. He could hear the voices. There were people all around him. He wants to go home. He wants Deccy. And Club.

   The thought hit him like a truck. Club wasn't from before. He was from after. He poked his head up. "Geno..?"

   Geno looked over. His cheek was bruised lightly.

   Fresh's soul skipped. "I-I'm so sorry! I-I didn't– d-didnt mean to!" He hiccuped softly.

   "Oh Fresh no no. It's okay. You were panicking. It was dark. It's okay." Geno wrapped his arms around rhe younger.

   Fresh curled in and latched onto Geno. They were both soaking wet from the rain and Fresh was covered in mud. "I-I'm sorry..."

   "I know..." Geno murmured.

   CQ sighed and pulled Asy aside to talk to him.

   Error walked over and sank down next to them. "This storm is kinda scary huh?"

   Fresh looked up at the roof of the cellar. "I guess."

   "Kinda cool too. The clouds looked green."

   "Really? And I missed it?"

   "Yup. That's okay though. In the morning maybe there'll be a rainbow!"

   Fresh smiled lightly and snuffled as he wiped his face.

   Geno smiled. Error sure did know how to calm Fresh. Or at least distract him. He was so proud. . .
