Fresh and Jessie

   "Daddy..?" Jessie asked softly. "What's that?" He was pointed.
   I didn't have my jacket on yet as I cooked breakfast. "What's what kiddo?" I asked not really paying attention.
   We hadn't told anyone about Jessie. He needed time to adjust first. He was so skittish.
   "The thingy on your arm!"
   I turned to look at what he was pointing at. It was an old scar. I sucked in a breath. "Oh.."
   I put the eggs and bacon on the plate and slid it over to Jessie. "It's uh..." I frowned. How to explain this gently.
   "You know the mark on your back? And the bad man that had you?" I asked softly sitting across from him.
   He looked spooked but nodded quietly. "Yeah..?" He whispered in a quiet voice.
   "Well there was a very bad man that had me when I was little. He gave me that mark." I explained.
   He gasped. "You're just like me.."
   I smiled sadly and ruffled his hair. "Sure am. Not eat up kiddo."
   "Fresh we have a problem," Error called from the door.
   I blinked snd furrowed my brows. " What kinda problem?"
   "FRESH QUEEN YOU ADOPTED A CHILD AND DIDN'T TELL ME!?" I heard a screech followed by a second toddler screech. Oh no. Geno.
   Error stuck his head into the kitchen. "That problem."
   Jessie had his hands over his ears as he whimpered. "Loud and scary."
   "Oh Jessie..." I whispered standing. "Hey hey. com'ere."
   "Fresh I Oughta–" Geno huffed stepping in.
   Error shot him a look. "You're to loud Geno."
   I gathered Jessie into my arms. "Hey kiddo don't cry. Hes not scary I promise. This is my other brother Geno. And his daughter Morang."
   Jessie looked up and his eyes lit up at the sight of another kid. "Daddy? Can I show her my cars..?" He asked softly.
   "Sure thing kid." I kissed his head gently.
   Geno blinked and looked like he was about to burst. "So. Cute."
   I flushed a bit and rubbed my neck. "Stop it."
   "I mean hes not wrong. You're so good for him and hes so good for you." Error shrugged with a small smile.
   " Dad! Dad! Can I go playyy!" Morang  attempted to pull her hand away from her dad. She was a four year old bundle of energy.
   Geno let her go. "Sure sweetie. Don't make a mess okay?"
   With that the two kids went to play with Jessie's toys. It looked like he'd never had friends his age before.
   "Hes so small. Morang is almost as tall as him.." Geno whispered.
   "Yeah..." I sighed softly. " Don't worry though. I'm working on it." I gave a small grin.
