Error had me thinking. Maybe I should learn an instrument. We could play together then.

I chose the guitar. A classic instrument. Easy to learn right? WRONG!!!

It was one of the hardest things I've ever done. And I interned at a hospital!!!! My fingers never wanted to be in the right place. The picks always got lost. The instructor was boring.

I went to Error. "Error... my guitar lessons ain't going so well."

"Oh?" Error looked up from his sheet music.

"Nope. I really kinda suck at it." I sighed. I felt like a child whining to their older sibling. "I want to learn an instrument too."

"I don't know what to tell you. I only picked up violin because Aunt Com had an old one that she needed to get rid of when she moved. That and I had a lot of free time with you gone and Geno in the hospital." He shrugged and scribbled some notes.

I sighed. Maybe an instrument just wasn't for me.

"Maybe you should try, like, a wind instrument? I know flute sounds good with violin," Error suggested.

And so, logically, I went and bought a flute.

I didn't have the money to pay for MORE lessons especially after the guitar lessons flopped. So I looked up some tutorials on YouTube.

The flute sounded really pretty. It could play high notes but if you were good enough to play low notes it made a nice sound. And then I found a flute beatboxing video. Flute was my instrument.

The next two weeks were hectic. Work, Jessie, Club, cooking, flute in my free time. I was getting the hang of it.

I decided go show Error two months after I started.

"Why am I here so early on a Sunday?" He mumbled.

"Jess and Deccy are out for their Sunday breakfast. Club is at work. I'm here alone. I want to show you something!" I was excited.

"Why did I need to bring my violin again?" he asked setting the case down.

" Lemme show you." I pulled out my flute case and went to put it together.

I watched his eyelights brighten in curiosity. "A flute?"

"I've been learning." I played a few noted to tune and warm up. After that I grabbed for my sheet music.

Error shut his mouth to listen. The music began. Error was mezmorised. How long had Fresh been doing this? It sounded like years.

I moved with the music. My fingers moved more naturally like this than the guitar. The music went on and on until it was suddenly the end. It was already over? I must have gotten into it.

Error blinked out of his trance. He gave a small grin and clapped. "That was nice."

"Ya think?" I brightened a bit at the compliment.

"I do. You're really good for a new player." He hummed.

"You think we could learn a song together?" I asked as I had a song in mind already.

He glanced at his case, then the clock, then me. He sighed deeply. "Sure. I suppose." This was gonna be so awesome.

This was mostly because I play flute IRL. I'm not projecting I swear.
