A.N( apologies if this came up in your  notification again I'm republishing it coz something seems to be wrong on my device.)

A.N (Went through a bit of a downer when I started this, it's what actually inspired this story. I don't think it hit the mark I was going for but oh well, feeling a little better at least. Probably a cleshè this to say but if anyone needs to vent please feel free to DM me I am mostly shit with advice but I am ready to listen and give an opinion if I have one or just listen if that's what you want, right enough prattling and back to the story.)

One whole year since Beacon Acadamy and a long journey has lead us to Atlas, I couldn't sleep, everything that has happened lately has been a bit much for me, all of it has made my heart a bit heavy it almost feels like it wants to drop out of my chest. I decided to go to the library late at night where there was no one else around, a nice quiet Isolated place. Here I decided to write a story which I found myself doing a lot these days, that or I would be training or spending time with my Girl. I was so engrossed in my writing that when I felt something wrap around me I jumped back gripping my dagger out of instinct.

Y/N: "Hiya!"

Yang: "Ahhhhh! Chill! Chill! It's just me."

I placed my hand over my heart giving a sigh of relief.

Y/N: "Holy hell, you scared the shit out of me!"

Yang: "Me scare you? If anyone got a fright it was me."

Y/N: "Yeah sorry. I was just so focused I didn't realize you there."

I sat back down resting my head in my hands. She walked up behind me bearly placed her arms around me.

Yang: "Is it safe to hug you now?"

A slight chuckle came from me, I took her arms and placed them around me, she squeezed me a bit, I had my one hand on her arms caressing them with my thumb.

Yang: "Did you shout Hiya?"

Y/N: " 'sigh' yeah"

Yang: "Didn't realize you were a ninja."

Y/N: "Yeah yeah get it out of your system."

Yang: "You ok?"

Y/N: "Mmm, just a bit tired, everything that has happened has been a bit heavy it's brought me down a bit. Thus the writing before me."

Yang: "What did you write?"

Y/N: "Random story, just to keep my mind occupied. Honestly, it's my only solace, well that" I tilted my head back to looked up at her, her violet eyes piercing into me "and you."

Yang: "Awww your sweet."

She brought her head slightly down to kiss me on my forehead.

Y/N: "You know it still amazes me that you decided to go out with me."

Yang: "Oh?"

She moved over and gripped a chair that was next to me, she sat down moving close placing both hands on my legs, I in return placed both my hands on hers, feeling the warmth from her one hand and the cold steel from her other, we interlocked our fingers.

Y/N: "Yeah we are opposites, you the wild girl who likes adventure, meeting new people, and partying and me reserved, prefers to avoid a crowd unless it's killing a whole lot of Grimm, prefers to stay at home with a good book or movie and cuddling up. It makes me wonder how this amazing woman before me become my girlfriend."

Yang: "I believe sometimes it's the people with similar personalities that clash a lot, and sometimes it's the opposites that end up matching more, besides I chose you because you have stuck through with me since the beginning, despite the danger you were always at my side. And it's nice to know if I get a little too wild I will have someone to ground me."

Y/N: "You know what, talking like this reminds me I've been thinking lately when thing's have settled down here, why don't you and I go on an adventure one you always wanted to go on. Meeting new people exploring new lands."

Yang: "You don't like people and you just said..."

Y/N: "I know what I just said but thinking of it, if I were to settle down in one spot, I would have to deal with specific people on the regular, but if we were to travel, we would help out where we can and go to the next destination. No need to worry about dealing with too much crap. Just don't expect me to do any nightclubs."

Yang: "Are you sure this is what you want?"

Y/N: " I promise you I have thought this through. Yes, this is what I want."

She leaned over and gave me a kiss when she pulled back she had a large smile on her face.

Yang: "I would love nothing more."

Y/N: "You know I don't get this?"

I pointed at her leg with her long pants, there were zippers that opened a flap exposing her skin while her other leg's zippers were closed. I traced my finger on the open section.

Yang: "it's a fashion statement."

Y/N: "A fashion statement? We are in a land of tundra that is freezing and you do this."

Yang: "I'm a tough cookie I think I can take a bit of cold."

Y/N: "I have no dought about that, it just seems impractical to me."

Yang: "Excuse me, remember that one week where you wore a rainbow shirt with a high rabbit saying 'Dem Da Breaks Son.' It was absolutely ridiculous, yet did I ridicule it? No, I did not."

Y/N: "Yeah fair point, wish you did though, it was stupid."

There was a few moments of silence, just staring at each other, I took a good look at her, her bright golden hair and her light purple eyes just kept my eyes glued.

Y/N: "My gosh, you are beautiful."

A blush appeared on her cheeks as she averted her eyes.

Yang: "Pfft, what are you doing? You don't just say something like that out of the blue."

Y/N: "What do you mean? You don't like when I compliment you.?

Yang: "No it's not that, it's just... it was so out of the blue, I wasn't expecting it."

Y/N: "Ok sure no prob, I'll be sure to ask next time if now is a good time to say something nice."

This I said with a sarcastic tone, she punched me playfully.

Yang: "Shut up, that's not how I meant it. Besides your not too bad yourself."

I couldn't help the chuckle at the last point

Yang: "what? It's true."

Y/N: "I don't dought it anyways think it's time I try to get some sleep I will probably need it for tomorrow."

I got up ready to leave, I was about to grab my supplies when Yang grabbed onto my arm and pulled me in for a hug, she held onto me tightly, I buried my face in her shoulder feeling her warmth pass on to me, taking in her scent with each breath. The cool air I felt dissipated and the heaviness in my heart felt lighter. Being with her just brightened things up and I pray that I would just be able to spend the rest of my life with her.

Yang: "I love you."

Y/N: "And I love you."

My last line came out as a bit of a muffle but I could tell she heard me by the light squeeze she gave me. We spent the next few moments holding each other before we went to bed. That night I had a wonderful dream and I knew that things would ok.
