(RWBY)-Kali Belladonna: Tragic Fall

Kali was going through some old things of hers in a spare room, she found a dusty chest with some personal momentous, she pulled out an old photo and a golden ring attached to it with a string, a heaviness laid on her heart looking at it. The photo was her in her younger days with a young man standing behind her, his arms wrapped around her waist and his head leaning on her shoulder.

Blake: "Mom, what are you doing?"

Kali looked back to see her daughter leaning against the door frame.

Kali: "Blake, nothing really just looking through some old memories, I take it that the boys are going at each other again?"

She could hear the Shark and the Monkey Faunas arguing downstairs, Blake walked over to her mother looking over her shoulder.

Blake: "Yeah, just needed a break from them, whoa who's that? He looks just like my boyfriend, even his E/C, and H/C match."

Kali: "I know, when I saw your new companion it brought back so many memories that I decided to go looking for some old things."

Blake: "who was he, and what sort of Faunas was he?"

Kali: "He was someone very special to me... we were engaged for a very very short time, this was long before your father and I married, and he wasn't a Faunas... he was human."

She could see that her daughter was shocked by this news, not that she blamed her It was her first time hearing this.

Blake: "I had no idea, what happened to him."

A deep and heavy sigh came from Kali

Kali: "I'm sorry I didn't tell you before sweetheart, It's not something I like to talk about, but I suppose you deserve to hear it."

1st person told from Kalis pov.

I was young and in love, he was an amazing man, always smiling and goofing around trying to make me smile. He was free and I felt free just being around him. We had been dating for a long time up until that point. I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with him. One day he told me to meet him on one of our most favourite spots just before the sunset, one of the places we use to meet in secret, it was on a cliffside on a tall hill where we could see the whole valley. We would often spend hours on that hill just talking with one another. On that day I was just relaxing waiting for him to arrive when I felt these hands cover my eyes.

Kali: "Now I wonder who that could be?"

I turned to see this beautiful man before me

Y/N: "Hay there kitty cat."

Kali: "Hay there sexy."

Y/N: "I see my kitten got up here all by herself without help."

He said with a teasing tone, I slapped his shoulder playfully giggling

Kali: "Jerk"

Y/N: "So how was your day?"

Kali: "Oh you know, having to deal with overbearing parent's 'you can't be with a human it's unnatural, we can't keep it a secret forever, It's not right yada yada yada' and your day?"

Y/N: " meh, got up, cleaned myself off went morning fishing, I caught this monster fish it was a beautiful catch, did some shopping and pretty much thought about my kitty cat the whole day and couldn't wait to see her."

He took my hands and caressed them with his thumbs

Kali: "Awww how sweet"

We spent the next few hours talking our problems away and about the future just enjoying each other's company. Before we knew it, it was dark and we made a little fire for light and warmth.
