Lightning *Fred Weasley love*

Year 6 Part 6

The next morning Ginny and I woke up early to run
Now that I am scouted for a team it's even more important to keep my stamina up, and Ginny is the perfect partner for that

We bumped up our miles to 15 and even though it exhausted both of us it was great to feel that way

  "I heard Harry talking about how you wouldn't let him talk to Cho last night" she said smiling "thanks"

  "No problem" I smiled back "even if I didn't want the two of you together, I wouldn't let him go for Cho. She's too invested in Cedric, I actually don't even want Cedric with her. He's too good for her, he was always so sweet to me. Did you hear he went pro too? He's on the tornados"

  "Oh yeah? Pick an opposite team, I'd love to see you smoke him again"

  "After consideration I decided they weren't meant for me anyway, I tried wearing yellow once and wasn't a fan"

We laughed and then headed back to the castle
By this point it was 8 and most of the common room was up

  "Good morning my love, how was your run?"

Hearing Fred's voice makes our distance feel less significant

  "Good we managed to do 15 miles without dying"

He laughed "I'm so proud of you, everything you do you do it with all you have. I've been keeping up with running and a little weight lifting as well, I can't let myself go with a badass girlfriend to keep up with"

I smiled "Weight lifting? That's kind of hot"

  "Glad you think so" I heard him laugh "when's your first quidditch game?"

  "This Friday night, were playing against Hufflepuff so it'll be an easy win. They haven't been the same since Cedric left"

  "You'll kick ass no matter the team, I have to go open shop. I love you, be safe ok?"

  "I love you more, I will"

At breakfast, Celeste came to my table and delivered 4 letters to me

  "You've been busy huh" I said "here's a treat my dear"

Hedwig came and gave Harry a letter as well, I assume my dad wrote back to both of us

I looked at the letters, my dad, Bill, Charlie and...Percy
I couldn't believe he actually wrote me back I haven't spoken to him in years unfortunately. The last time ended up awful

  "That's a lot of letters" Ron said snooping over them

I took them from his hands, I didn't want him seeing Percy's

  "It's weird...if you smell them they kind of smell like non-yah" I said pretending to sniff the parchment

  "Non-yah?" He asked trying to smell the letters in my hand

  "Yeah non-yah business" I pulled them back away from him

Harry spit out his juice and laughed hysterically with Hermione

  "Real funny" Ron said back

I'll read these later, maybe during my free break

I pocketed them and got ready for my first class, Transfigurations

During my break, I decided to sit down at the black lake with Hermione. I knew she wouldn't fault me for writing to him

  "Ron would lose it if he saw his name" I said showing her

  "Yeah it's best not to tell any of them, things are so rocky with Percy and their family"

I nodded and opened my first letter, my dad

My sweet girl,

I'm glad things are going well for you already! Sorry to hear about the poor beaters, I bet you can shape anyone into a good player though. Ive done a whole lot of nothing as I'm sure you know. Remus has kept me company, and Fred has joined me for dinner twice now. He's a good man, I'm glad you have him.
The meetings have been all the same, nothing to update you on.
I hope you're staying safe, write to me whenever you feel, but if you need me in the moment you can always send your Patronus my way

I smiled at the letter, and then moved on to the next one from Bill

Dear Electra,
I'm so proud of you!! Captain all O's and scouted? I'd like to say I'm surprised but you are an over achiever and I knew you would do great things.
Fleur says hello, and to pick the French team
I say to pick the England one so you can stay close to home, but that's selfish of me I know
We got engaged by the way, I finally did it.
The wedding will be next year, Fleur wants you to be a brides maid

  "Fleur and Bill are engaged!!" I told Hermione

  "That's awesome for them" she said smiling "Fleur is kind of hard to get along with" she mentioned

  "I didn't think so, she's just girly. I found her easy to talk to"

I opened the next letter, Charlie

Dear Lightning,

I KNEW IT!!! You rock.
10 teams?! Has that even been done before?! I can't remember the last player teams wanted that badly
Sorina said congratulations and to pick the Romanian team
I agree with her, we would love for you to be closer to us
Dragons huh? I'm glad Hagrid agreed to teach you fun things, being the only one in his class gives you such a good opportunity to learn about them maybe you can convince him to show you some!! Baby dragons are the most fun, and I know he's still in contact with rescues

My last letter...Percy
I gulped opening it

  "I'm sure he won't be rude to you, he has an issue with Harry and Mr.Weasley. Well I'm sure Fred and George too, and maybe Charlie and Bill" Hermione said looking over my shoulder

Dear Miss.Black,

Congratulations
Put all the money away, I know Fred isn't responsible so be better
Pick England, stay close to home
Stay safe as well

  "That was probably the nicest thing he's said to me in years" I sighed with relief "he's not mad at me"

Hermione smiled "of course he's not Miss.Black" she laughed "that's so...Percy"

  "Hermione it seems like everyone wants me to stay close to home and pick England....but I feel like going to a new country to play would be so much fun"

  "So pick for the adventure and not for comfortability" she said

  "But what if Fred and I get married and have children...even if we don't have children do I really want to be away from him during training and playing? That would keep me away in the spring and summer"

  "What does your heart tell you?"

  "My heart says it's either England or Bulgaria"

  "You know how great Bulgaria is, Viktor raved about it in his letter, and the pay you'd get from them would be enormous...but England keeps you close to home and you already know the area. You could live in London still"

  "I think I'll talk to Fred on holiday about it. I just don't want to make the wrong choice"

She hugged me
  "You won't. Any choice you make will be the right one for you"
