Lightning *Fred Weasley love*

Year 6 Part 5

"How was class?" Hermione asked

We were all sitting together for lunch, they all had a free period while I was with Hagrid

  "It was really great actually! We walked the forest and chatted for the whole class, it's almost like having a free period with company"

  "Was he mad that we didn't take it?" She asked

  "Not at all"

She smiled and went back to her book

  "What do you all have next?" Harry asked

  "Potions" we all said

  "Good, I think the only classes that we are split in are Care of magical creatures, Astronomy and Herbology" I said
Hermione and I had all our classes together, but the boys didn't have high enough scores in their OWLs to take those two

We made it to the dungeon to get experience our first class with Slughorn

  "Think he will be nice?" Ron asked

  "Harry and I already met him, he's uh nice but strange..." I said

Harry met him longer when him and Dumbledore recruited him in the summer, but at that point he didn't think he would come to the school again. He explained to us that Slughorn seemed hesitant because of Voldemort

  "Good afternoon class" he said walking in behind us
Hermione and I sat together, while Ron and Harry sat behind us
We had this class with Slytherins again

  "If you could all join me at the front of the class I would like to discuss what's in my cauldron" he motioned for us to join him

  "Uh sir Ron and I are missing text books for this class, we didn't think we'd be taking it this year" Harry said

  "It's ok Harry, I have some extras on the shelf in the back feel free to borrow them until you can send for some of your own"

Hermione joined me to the front of the classroom while they went and got books
I heard shuffling around, when I looked at where the noise was coming from I saw Ron and Harry fighting over a book
I rolled my eyes

  "Can anyone tell me what's in the cauldron?" He asked the class

Hermione and I put our hands up

  "I'm sure you know what it is Miss.Black but I will let Miss.Granger answer this time" he said pointing to Hermione

  "Liquid death" she said

  "Excellent! 20 points to Gryffindor" he said excitingly
He explained what the potion was used for, and how he wanted us to recreate it

  "Whoever gets the closest wins..." he took a vile out of his pocket "who knows what this is?"
Again Hermione and I put our hands up

  "Miss.Black it's your turn"

  "Liquid luck"

  "Beautiful! 20 points again, I can see why you two scored high on your potion OWLs. No partners this is a single project, good luck all"

A half an hour went by, and everyone in the room was struggling
The worst being Crabbe Goyle Seamus and Ron, the smell coming from that end of the workshop was enough to make you croak over

Professor Slughorn walked over to mine "so so close Miss.Black"
He said the same for Hermione, who looks in rougher shape than I am
The humidity in the room because of the potion wasn't helping her hair

  BOOM

Everyone in the class jumped at the loud sound and looked over to the table that had Ron and Seamus standing near

  "Well" Professor Slughorn said and then shook his head

Ron and Seamus were covered in their potion, which thankfully wasn't actually close to liquid death

He walked over to Harry's and gasped

  "Mr.Potter incredible! You have the best looking potion and you're already done" he said dropping a leaf in it "I would say if a drop of this ended up on any of us we would be in a lot of trouble...congratulations!" He passed Harry the vile of luck

  "Thank you Professor" Harry said accepting the potion

  "You've got your mother's brain that's for sure, she was top in my class too" he said smiling
Harry smiled back at that compliment

Hermione and I looked at each other
  "How??" She said

I shrugged

  "Harry how did you do that??" She asked when we left the room

  "I just read the directions" he said back

Ron laughed

  "I did too, you did something different" she demanded

  "This book has advice for all the potions in it" he said showing her "I guess that's why I was able to do it and you couldn't"

She huffed
  "You should return that book and get one without all the writing in it, that's cheating"

  "It's brilliant that's what it is" Ron defended Harry "I wouldn't return it, you can easily pass his class with that book"

I let them bicker about it, but I was on Ron's side. I didn't see it being a problem, and if he gets caught then it's on him

Classes ended for the day and we were all back in our common room

We all huddled together to do homework, Neville Ginny Seamus and Dean joined us

  "I'm happy for you two you know" I said looking at Dean and Seamus "I knew you'd make a beautiful couple"

Dean smiled "thanks Electra"

  "When did it happen over summer?" Ron asked

  "Yes!" Seamus said excitingly "we spent a lot of time together this holiday and found we were better together" he held Dean's hand and kissed it

I smiled, it reminded me of Fred and I

I miss Fred so much

  "Hey I need to go to Celeste to send out my letter for my dad" I said getting up after I finished my potions homework

  "I'll come" Harry said getting up "I have a letter for Sirius too"

We got to the owlery and handed out letters to Celeste and Hedwig

  "Safe travels you two" I said letting Celeste go into the sky

I heard footsteps coming up to the owlery, and when I turned it was Cho

  "Oh hi Harry, Electra" she said coming up to us "congrats on being captain" she said going to shake my hand

I shook it back "thanks! Can't wait to play our first game"

  "Any good players?" She asked looking at me, but mostly at Harry

  "Wouldn't you like to know" I said laughing "we should get going" I said grabbing his hand

She looked sad but wished us a good night anyways

  "Why did you pull me away?" He asked looking back

  "You don't need Cho, she's a great girl but she's been back and forth with Cedric since last year you don't want to be a part of that" I said walking forward with him

Plus him and Ginny would make a way better couple
