Lightning *Fred Weasley love*

Year 6 Part 30

A month has gone by since I was hospitalized, my bracelet was returned to me with a new charm a week after I was out
The newest charm was one for my dad, a little black dog

Harry has had detention every Saturday night since the accident
Snape tried confiscating Harry's potions book a few days after the fight, but Harry gave him Ron's instead and told Hermione and I that he hid the book in a place he could no longer get it
I don't know why Snape wanted it but he seemed suspicious when Harry handed him a normal textbook

My training with Snape hasn't returned since he's been too busy with Harry's detentions
I told my dad about that and even though he owes him for saving my life he doesn't think Harry being in detention excuses him for stopping our training

"I can't believe you're missing the last quidditch game of the year it's the most important!!" I yelled at Harry while we were eating dinner
Tomorrow was the game for the cup, and I was damned if I wasn't going to win it my first year as captain

"I need to win this you hear me Ginny?!"
I made Ginny my new seeker and she has been nonstop training with me for that role ever since we found out Harry would be unable to play

She gave me a high five
"I won't let you down Captain"

I replaced Ginny with Cormac, even though I still don't care for him he's a good player and was able to take any spot I gave him

We were playing against Ravenclaw, it's Cho Chang's last year so she wants it as badly as I do

  "This is going to be a tough game" I said to my friends

  "You've got it lightning!!" Seamus said from across the table

We won the game
Ginny played the most incredible seeker, even better than Harry
Professor McGonagall permitted us to celebrate for as long as we wanted to tonight

We had butterbeer and spiked pumpkin juice, with food the kitchen elves brought for us
Everyone was cheering for me, telling me I'm the best captain to have walked this school

  "We wouldn't have won without you!!" Ron said holding me on his shoulders

  "You're awesome lightning!!" Dean yelled over the crowd

They all chanted my name

Hermione was even enjoying herself, I caught her drinking the pumpkin juice and then laughing herself silly

  "No wonder you're going pro!!" Neville said congratulating me

We all partied for an hour before Harry finally showed up

  "You won?" He said excitingly

Ginny looked from her conversation with Hermione and saw Harry at the door
I watched her walk up to him and kiss him deeply

Harry had his hands at his sides, but then slowly relaxed and held her while she kissed him

I looked at Ron and he shrugged
  "If it's got to be anyone snogging my sister I'm ok with it being Harry"

I smiled
Harry and Ginny make a beautiful couple
If only another two saw how much they mean to each other...

I looked at Hermione and she was looking at Ron the same way I've caught Ron looking at her previously

We all partied until late in the morning
I was intoxicated from all of the pumpkin juice I drank and bloated from all of the cheese pretzels the elves brought for us

I looked at the clock and it was 3 am
Most of the students were passed out around the floor, the floor looked the most comfortable so I curled up in a ball next to Hermione and laid my head on her stomach

  "Hello Love"

  "Freddie"  i hiccuped

  "How'd the match go?" He asked suspicious of my mood "I wish I could have been there but the shop was too busy and the other employee we have was sick"

  "Why are you up this early" I asked laughing "you miiiisssssssed a fun game"

  "Drinking with Lee and George, they're together now isn't that great?"

I smiled brightly

  "I love that!! How wonderful"

  "Why are you up this early?"

  "Drinking after we WON THE CUP" I yelled in my head to him

I felt pride come through the bracelet

  "I'm so proud of you my love"

  "Fred I am so drunk" I slurred out

He laughed

  "Go to sleep, I'm pretty drunk too but im sure you're more than I am. You don't drink as often as I do"

  "I love you goodnight"

  "I love you more goodnight"

The following day was eerie
The sun never came out
The sky was grey and the birds who normally chirp all day have gone silent

I closed my dorm room window, expecting it to rain at some point today.
It was Sunday, so it was an off day for all of us

Harry said Dumbledore needed him during the afternoon for the project they've been working on together
Harry doesn't say much about it to any of us, but we all know it's important

I hung around Hermione and Ron most of the day
It did end up raining on and off, with occasional thunder rolling in the background

  "Weird day isn't it?" Neville asked us, we were all sitting down in the Great hall doing homework
The ceiling was as usual matching the sky outside, a streak of lightning flashed down in front of us

  "A little odd" Ron answered giving up on his potions essay

  "Not so easy anymore is it" Hermione smirked

  "Hermione can I—"

  "No" she said coldly and went back to her own essay

Ron sighed and went back to attempting his own

I felt so empty without Frankie in my pocket. I told Fred I didn't want another one right now, I'm afraid to get attached to a new one and for it to get hurt again. I'd rather wait till after school

Nighttime arrived and the sky was a deep black

  "No moon" I said looking outside of the castle
I was alone, Hermione and Ron were in the common room and I needed some air
I ran around as vulpes for a while but just transformed to go back to the castle

I began my walk back to the common room, but on my way there I heard rustling coming from the hallway that lead to the room of requirements

Draco?

  "Is he back in the room?" I asked myself quietly
But my answer arrived shortly after I said it
A giant explosion happened and black smoke filled the hallway

I dropped to the ground and covered my head as more explosions went off around me

"Fred this is an emergency get the order to Hogwarts now"
