End Game Part 20

Shit
I didn't realize I was still bleeding when I got into bed

  "There's even blood on the blanket where she slept...she came here because she was injured" he said panicked

  "But she left, so it can't be that bad" George said trying to help

  "Maybe she just needed a safe spot to be at for the night?" Lee said

  "I wonder how she got passed the death eaters outside" George said curiously

  "Probably turned into Vulpes..." Lee said "I wonder if she's still a fox? Maybe she's still In the loft?"

I felt George jump from the bed and saw his feet run through the door
  "Vulpes? Electra??" He yelled

Lee left with him to go search the loft while Fred stayed behind
He sat back down on the bed and sighed

  "I know you're under the bed" he said "I didn't before because of how much I was panicking, but I know you're there"

He got up from the bed and then I saw his knees hit the floor
I shouldn't have stayed

I watched as he pushed away the blanket that covered under the bed and looked right into his eyes when he finally found me
  "Electra you are injured please come here"

I didn't have a choice now, I messed up by not leaving after I wrote the note
I limped my way towards him and let him grab me gently and pull me out from under the bed

He put me in his arms and held me closely to his chest
I felt tears hit my fur and when I looked up at him again he had his eyes closed, but there were tears falling from them

  "My sweet Love" he said "what has happened to you?"

He placed me on the bed where I transformed and let him see me fully

He stayed on his knees in front of me and took in what I looked like
Which I'm sure isn't good

He put his hands around my face and then brought his own closer to mine
  "I have missed you so much" he said softly "I knew it was you last night, even if you didn't leave behind the locket and note I would have known...that's why I knew you were still here. You left a trail of blood but that could have been old, I felt my soul pulling me under the bed"

I began to sob loudly
  "Fred I've missed you so much" I said in between sobs "I shouldn't have stayed though"

"Shh" he said holding my face still "you're injured let's focus on that first..." he wiped away tears that fell from my face "why are you alone?"

"It's not Ron's fault" I said

Fred's face turned from sympathetic to serious

"We found a Horcrux"
I told him the story of how we found it, what they were in case he still wasn't aware, what happened between our group and why we split off and then what happened to Ron and myself before I got here
"Death eaters tried to find me when I set off the alarms but I was able to hid until they stopped their pursuit"

Fred pulled me into his chest again and held his hand in my long hair

"If Ron isn't already dead he is now for being a git" I heard George say from the doorway
Him and Lee arrived when I was telling Fred my story

"It's not his fault though the locket made emotions amplified, it was hard on all of us...I'm worried for him I hope he's ok"

"It's Ron I'm sure he's fine" Lee said

George and Lee came over to me and both hugged me tightly after Fred let go

"You look awful" George said "and smell bad too, if it wasn't for the love potion filling the room with Lee's scent I would be gagging" he said laughing

I laughed back at him
"Shampoo and soap were hard to come by"

"We're going to make some breakfast, after Fred's healed you up can you stay to eat?" Lee said hopeful

I debated it

"I don't know..."

Fred put his hands on my thighs and then looked me in my eyes
"Please"

I couldn't say no when he asked
This is why I shouldn't have stayed

"Just breakfast then I—" I didn't get to finish my sentence
Fred's lips came crashing down onto my own and as easily as that I forgot everything that wasn't him
I closed my eyes and took in all the emotions he sent through his kiss
I felt everything he felt while I was away
Sadness
Guilt
Despair
But I also felt everything he was feeling now
Love
Happiness
Comfort

I heard the door close behind George and Lee and when I opened my eyes Fred was crying again
I put my forehead to his and cried with him

Moments went by
Fred stopped crying before I did, but he stayed there on the ground holding me until I did too

"I'm going to go start the shower for you Love" he gave me a kiss but then put his hand gently on where I was bleeding still "while it's heating up I'm going to heal this wound and then when you're done I'll have a potion ready for your broken arm"

"How did you learn to do that?" He's incredibly smart but he's never talked about knowing how to heal or make healing potions

He pointed to a stack of books that were beside the bed
"I bought those before we had to stay in hiding, I haven't been just sitting around you know" he smiled and then kissed me again "if you're out there risking your life, I want to be able to put you back together when you show up injured"

I smiled and laughed a little too
"You're such a genius" I kissed him deeply

"Did you like the newest addition to the doors?" He asked smiling

I nodded
"You knew I'd come here as Vulpes?"

"I knew you'd need a safe place at some point in your journey, I knew you would come here when you needed to feel protected. I made the door for that reason" he kissed me again "and the protection spells around the loft work for only George Lee you and myself. Not anyone else, if I added more names it would have taken some of the protection off and I couldn't risk it if you came here"

"You knew I'd come alone?"

He put his hands on my thighs again and began rubbing them slowly
"I knew you would come back to me and that was all I knew. I figured if you were with the others, which was my bigger guess, I would let them in. As long as one of us is at the door we can let someone not on the list in"
