Tonight the sky was dark and ominous
The wind was whipping around and thunder rolled by the house close enough that it woke some of the children
"Arthur tonight feels...different" Molly Weasley said
"I know" Arthur Weasley said "He-who-shall-not-be-named has really been getting the edge on the order. I hope everyone stays safe"
Molly went upstairs to help the children go back to sleep It seemed like the only child who couldn't fall back asleep was Ronald
Molly and Arthur had to leave the order of the Phoenix after they had Ronald They couldn't worth the risk anymore
Molly was concerned for the burrow's sake, this storm seemed to be rattling the walls. They had buckets under the holes in the ceiling trying to catch the rain that the storm let in They didn't use their wands for fear of bringing the dark lord to their house All of the order's wands were tapped with trackers, they could only use them to defend themselves and their families if worst came to it
Molly came down stairs with Ronald in her arms The tea kettle began screaming, so she walked up and took it off the stove "Tea dear?"
Arthur shook his head staring outside. He was on edge since he left the Ministry tonight, Molly knew something bad was going to happen He-who-must-not-be-named has been making the Ministry and the Orders lives terrible. We all fear who will be his next victim.
There is a knock on the door
"it's 4 A.M who could be knocking this late?" Arthur asked suspiciously
These days you don't open your door for just any lot "What if it's...him" Molly said concerned
Arthur looked at Molly "I don't think he's knocking before he enters"
Arthur walked to the front door Molly held onto Ronald closenear the stairs, just in case she had to run and get the other boys to safety The two of them had a plan in case the worst happened, Molly was to take the children to Muriel's house while Arthur stayed behind, buying them time
Molly heard Arthur asking questions and heard the person on the opposite side of the door panicking
"Sirius? What's wrong? You look dreadful, why do you have Electra in this weather? What happened to you two?" Arthur said matching the visitor's panic
At the entrance of the Burrow stood a tall male with dark hair, usually this male kept his appearance well groomed but he was as filthy as you'd imagine a dog would be running through this mess. Sirius and Electra Black their names were, Electra was screaming in his dirty arms Molly watched from inside the house, Sirius trying to console his daughter She was always an easy baby, to see her in a fit was alarming
"Arthur please I need you and Molly's help desperately" every word out of Sirius's mouth sounded pained "the ministry is searching for me they are claiming that I gave information on James and Lilly's whereabouts. They are going to convict me of murdering them, I didn't do it Arthur. He was my BEST friend, my only daughters God Father, how could I-I wouldn't" his eyes were filled with sorrow and rage "I loved them, and my sweet Nova...she was there Arthur. She was spending time with Lily, and Voldemort got her too...Electra has no one if they catch me please take her in. Use my vault to pay for her needs while I'm away and please take some for you and your family, for the trouble I am causing you"
"I wouldn't ever take your money Sirius" Molly chimed in, the realization of the situation is setting in now. The dark lord has killed the Potters and the Black family was in deep trouble
Lightning struck the tallest tree in our yard and sent it flying down behind Sirius and Electra Sirius clutched Electra to his chest, holding her tight against the storm
"What's one more child" she told him holding her opposite hand out for Electra to be held in
Electra was a beautiful baby, she had the dark famous Black hair, and the most beautiful eyes. She resembled Sirius more than Nova
"Molly, Arthur I will never be able to repay you for what you are doing for her, never in my life would I expect to have a child" he looked at Electra in his hands "...but then to also not be able to be with my child. I hate this, I just wanted a happy family like you both. I didn't think I deserved it, J-James always told me different" he paused for a moment "Will you tell her about me? And about how much I love her, how much Nova loved her? Tell her she is my world and there won't be a day that I won't be thinking of her-"
"Sirius we will treat her as our own, and you will not be forgotten she will grow up knowing every detail of you, both of you" Molly said to Sirius as she held Ronald close to her
If something ever happened to her or Arthur, she didn't know what she would do. How Sirius is able to handle himself right now is besides her
Sirius pauses for a moment to look at his daughter. "Electra, I'm so sorry about your mother. I should have been there for her, I will never forgive myself for what happened tonight. You are so beautiful and you will grow up to be a strong witch I love you dearly and please know that. I promise you I will come back, and when I do we will be a family again. Be good to the Weasleys, they are a wonderful family who I admire so much. I love you" Sirius felt tears that he has been holding back come to surface.
Before he lost his composure he handed Electra to Molly
Electra reaches back for her father, but he turned into his Animagus form and ran towards the woods leaving his only family behind, knowing it will be a long while til he could see her again. But knowing she is in good hands is what will keep him going.
