I woke up at 5:30, which my body just naturally does now no need for an alarm. I felt so warm in bed with Fred, he is like a space heater.
I was laying on my side with him behind me, his arms around my waist and his head on my neck. This was the most peaceful sleep Ive ever had.
It was the first night I noticed I wasn't haunted by nightmares
I hate having to wake up, but I have to stay running, it's my only time with the black dog.
"Hey Freddie" I said as I turned into him
"Mmmm?" He said, he tightened his grip on me. He isn't a morning person, but he is so cute this early.
"I have to go run, are you still going to come meet the dog today?"
He opened his eyes
"Yes of course, you go run I'll wake up the other four around 6 and we will meet you down there" he pondered for a moment "What if it isn't your dad and it's been someone who is going to try to hurt you? Maybe it's not a good idea to keep meeting it now that I think about it"
"He would have done something by now right? We've been running together for months, that would be a commitment if it was for something maniacal"
He thought about it for a moment
"Stay safe ok? I will meet you down there soon Love, unless you want me to run with you?"
"If you want you can join" I usually like my alone time with the dog, but I would love to spend more time with Fred
"Let me get ready I will go with you, are you running in what I gave you?"
"No it's cold out I will go put on a long sleeve and long pants. I'll meet you in the common room" I said
He kissed my forehead and released me from his grip.
I blushed, I really hope he can't see that in this dark room.
He broke up with Angelina this year I can't imagine he wants to jump into another relationship right away, Fred's life is pranks and his twin I don't think he has room for a relationship with me
I went to my dorm room, Hermione was up.
"I figured I'd get up early to study while I waited for your run to finish. I really hope this is your dad, I know how much that would mean to you"
"I hope so too Hermione, Fred wants to run with me will you wake everyone else up when the time comes? I really want you 5 to meet him, I want him to see my extended family. All of them one day, but for now just who's here. You can invite Ginny too if she wants to go! Though you'll have to fill her in on what's been happening"
"I will wake them, go run we will be there later" she said as she hugged me
Fred was in the common room like we agreed to, but he was talking to someone else
"She doesn't want you to run with her again Seamus, Merlin you are out of shape and way to slow for her. Do you need her to embarrass you again?"
"Why are you running with her? I'm sure for the same reason to impress her I bet you can't keep up either"
"I'm actually in shape I play Quidditch did you forget that? And she wants me to go with her, so piss off"
I waited at the top of the stairs to see what would happen with this fight. I hope Fred gets him to back off, I like Seamus as a friend but he's quite pushy.
"Whatever man" and with that Seamus went back to his dorm
