"I know you more than you think, I know you aren't a killer" Dumbledore sat down
He looks so weak what happened with Harry
I could feel pounding on my mental shield but I kept it up
I know Fred's trying to get in but if I let him distract me I could be in more trouble
"I don't have a choice...I never did"
I saw Draco lower his wand again
"He's going to kill my family...kill me and he's going to take Electra. I can't let anyone suffer because of my failure"
He brought his wand back up
"You care about Electra don't you?" Dumbledore asked
Draco was silent for a moment
I could hear fighting happening downstairs now but the door stayed closed
"I always wanted to be close with her. I will do what I can to help her and that includes doing what Voldemort asks of me" his wand lifted again
Draco...
"Draco, if you let me I can help you. I can hide you, your family, and Electra. You don't have to do this"
"But I do"
I ran up the stairs
"Draco please don't"
Draco turned to me and horror-struck his face
Dumbledore stood there silently, I didn't see Harry anywhere so he must be fighting downstairs
"You don't have to do this, let us help you" I walked up to him but then a loud bang came from downstairs and sounds of feet running up the stairs followed
I went to look at the noises but before I could turn I was grabbed and choked from behind
"We meet again" a dark grungy voice said
Nails started digging into my neck and I knew without looking who was holding me
Fenrir Greyback
"Good job Draco he's alone now do it" a female voice said coming up the stairs
Bellatrix
"And we have the girl too, what a good day for us"
Fenrir tightened his hold on me and I started coughing blood
"Don't kill her she's meant to be taken alive" Bellatrix warned Fenrir
He loosened his grip and snarled into my ear
I looked at Draco and he looked horrified
The one thing he told me not to do
"Fred I'm in a lot of trouble Astronomy tower please hurry"
"Do it Draco" Bellatrix said "or are you too scared" she circled him
Even on a moonless night Fenrir overpowered me, I tried to wiggle my way out but that just made him use his other hand to hold onto me and put his claws deep into my skin again
Draco wasn't moving he was just staring at me, pained
"I'll do it" a male voice said behind me
"The dark lord wants him to do it" Bellatrix argued
The voice belonged to Snape
He was coming up from the stairs, I could hear banging on the door down below again
"Sounds like the order is trying to get in" Fenrir said laughing
"Electra the door is cursed we can't get in what's going on?!"
"I'm sorry Fred"
I could feel tears sting my eyes but I refuse to cry in front of these people
"Why are you sorry Electra don't do anything stupid please!!"
I heard bodies hitting the door below, Fred must have been throwing himself at it
"Too late on the stupid part"
Snape looked at me being held by Fenrir and then at Draco who had his wand facing Dumbledore still
When I looked at Dumbledore he looked frightened
The first time I've ever seen him look that way
"Severus please" Dumbledore said
Snape looked around the room
"Avada Kedavra" he said
A green light shot from his wand and directly hit Dumbledore
He went flying backward and fell out through the open window
I started screaming
Fred's POV
Electra is blocking me out
She's not going to come to me I have to go find her
I saw an empty classroom and pulled George into it
Inside were some students who were hiding
I saw Madame Hooch in there defending the younger students
"Please take care of George" I said putting him near the students
She nodded
I left him there and began my search for Electra
Please be ok please be ok
I ran into her dad
He was fighting alongside Lupin and Tonks on the 6th floor
I joined their fight and knocked out the death eaters who fought against them
"Have you seen Electra?! She said she was on the 7th floor" I yelled
Sounds of explosions and screaming students made it hard to hear anything
Her dad looked at me anxiously
"No, you haven't either??"
I'm supposed to protect her...how can I if I'm not near her
Sirius took me by the hand and pulled me to the ground before a spell hit us
"You can't reach her mind?" He asked
I shook my head no
"She blocked me out I don't know why"
The wall beside us blew up and Sirius covered me with his body
We dug our way out of the debris and ran for the 7th floor
My heart was beating out of my chest and I knew her dad was feeling the same way
I didn't see Ron or Ginny on the way to the 7th floor I hope they're ok too
And George...I just left him I had to
He's in good hands I told myself
Once we arrived on the 7th floor, we saw bodies lying around
"They're all just stunned" Moody yelled at us "where's Harry or Electra?"
"We're looking for them now" Sirius said
"Fred I'm in a lot of trouble Astronomy tower please hurry"
I stopped moving
I could feel my heart ripping itself apart and my hands began to shake
"What's wrong!?" Sirius demanded "did she get in touch with you"
I nodded and began running with him following me
Moody chased after us with Lupin who caught up to us too
"She said she's in trouble at the Astronomy tower" I barely got the words out
Her dad turned into his Animagus and ran ahead of me
He was dodging spells and death eaters better than the rest of us
He needs to get Electra
he's frightened over her being in trouble
I am too
My palms were sweating profusely and my face was on fire
When we finally got to the door Sirius had changed back to his human form and was trying to kick it down
"The door is cursed I can't get in" he said
"Electra the door is cursed we can't get in, what's going on?!"
I kicked the door with Sirius trying to get in
"I'm sorry Fred"
"Why are you sorry Electra please don't do anything stupid!!"
I started throwing my body against the door and her dad did the same thing
I went then Sirius went
And then we went together
No luck
"Too late on the stupid part"
Then I heard a bloodcurdling scream come from the Astronomy tower
"Electra!!!"
