A year later
Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Dear Miss.Electra Black, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Enclosed is a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins September 1st. We await your owl no later than July 31st.
"Oh Merlin...MRS.WEASLEY I GOT IT I GOT MY LETTER RON DID YOU GET YOURS?!?"
I couldn't contain my excitement, I started excitingly jumping up and down beside Ron who was now just opening his letter The house owl showed up during breakfast, and I could just tell by Mrs.Weasley's smile that it was what I've been waiting for
I let out the loudest scream, Ron covered his ears and Mrs.Weasley covered my mouth. "Dear I know you are excited but please keep it down it is quite early still" Mrs. Weasley took her hand away as she felt my emotions go back to normal.
I had momentarily forgotten that not everyone in the house would be up this early, most were still asleep after 6 a.m but knowing our letters would be arriving this week I convinced Ron to get up early every day until we received them
"Alright let's write back to the school and tell them you accept, and then we should go to Diagon Alley, we have so much to buy this year knowing you two are going. Ron will have scabbers with him, did you want to bring a pet with you deary? You get to chose between a cat an owl or a toad, yes I know Scabbers isn't any of those they sometimes make exceptions." Mrs.Weasley asked "Scabbers has gone with every Weasley since we found him"
"Yes I would love to look at Owls, I know the school has some but I prefer my own, Mrs.Weasley please let me help you bu-"
"No" she picked up my letter and batted me on the head with it "I will not have you help me at all, honestly Electra I wish you would stop with that nonsense. Your father left that money to provide for you while he was away, and we have money to provide for our family. You don't need to fret for us we manage every year don't we?"
It's true they do, but I know Mr.Weasley has been having to pick up extra shifts at the ministry this year knowing Ron is going to be in school as well. He hasn't been home much and I know Mrs.Weasley is stressed from it, but if she won't accept my help maybe I can find a way to sneak money into her bag without her noticing...
