Welcome Home

I ran faster than I've ever ran before
Feeling the wind hit my fur felt incredible, I didnt even care that I'm soaked from the rain in that field
I am going home

I ran down the trail Fred and I made from tracking back and forth so many times
The land the burrow was on was in reach I could see it showing up now

I'm home

Fred's POV

I knew George got injured but I didn't expect him to be a bloodied mess when I got to the burrow
My dad rushed past me when we got inside, Lupin told him outside what had happened after he interrogated us

  "Fred what was the last thing Sirius said to you before we went off to fight at Hogwarts?" He asked me after asking my dad his personal question

  "He told me if something happened to him, to protect Electra at all cost. She meant the world to him and he needed to know someone else would be in this world watching over her" saying that out loud hurt more than it did when he passed.
I failed him after I took that vow
I couldn't save her from Voldemort

He nodded and let me past
I walked up to George after my dad was done seeing him, my mom was sitting beside him running her hand through his blood streaked hair

  "How're you feeling Georgie?" I asked sitting down

  "Saint like" he answered

I looked around the room and no one knew what he was talking about

  "Saint like, holy? Get it Fred?" He let out a chuckle

  "Out of all the ear jokes you went with Saint like? Pathetic" I smiled
He smiled back at me
George has been trying to get me to laugh or show emotions for the past couple of months but it's been so hard being without the love of my life
I'm just so happy that he's ok, I suppose the smile was in response to that

  "What are you going to tell Lee when you show up without an ear?" I joked

  "I'm going to tell him now I have an excuse for when he says I don't listen" he pointed to his missing ear "my good ear is gone"

I chuckled but then reality set in again
I know I saw Electra in that storm
I felt something pulling me towards her

I got up from the floor and looked around the room, almost everyone was back but Moody Fletcher Bill and Fleur
I heard noises coming from outside, it sounded like Bill but my dad went to go check to be sure it was indeed him and Fleur

  "Mad-eye is dead" Bill said after he visited with George "Fletcher saw Voldemort coming for them and took off, leaving Mad-eye alone. He fell off his broom, we should probably send out a search party for his body"

  "I'll go" I volunteered

Bill my dad and myself volunteered to go search for his body
If Electra is somewhere on that field still. I want to find her and bring her home

We got on brooms and set up a portkey to take back home after we were finished locating his body
We took off into the cleared night sky
The moon was halfway full and all of the stars where out to be seen, but one was shining brighter than the rest
The blue-white star Electra, the brightest star in the sky

Electra's POV

I made it to the field that the burrow laid in, but I couldn't see it
The Protection shield had it invisible

  "Hello? Is anyone there?" I called out, hoping someone would be at the house and be able to let me in
I wasn't sure where the entrance of the shield was so I had to stand and wait for someone to answer me back

  "Hello?" I yelled out "it's me..."

I didn't hear him show up, but right when I was about to call out again Lupin showed himself in front of me

  "Electra...?!" He yelled "is it...is it really you?" He went to go hug me but pulled back "you have to prove it's you, can you tell me what your dad used to live by?"

I wouldn't ever forget
My mum my dad and myself were named after stars and he lived by this
  "I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night" I could feel tears welt up in my eyes "Lupin did you bury him near mum?" I started sobbing

Lupin walked up to me and held me tightly
  "he's buried right next to her...we waited a month but we couldn't wait any longer for you I'm so sorry. For both losing him, and for not waiting long enough"

  "I can't believe he's truly gone" I cried out

  "I know deary" he put his hand on my head as he held me "it hurts I know"

  "I saw the fighting, Draco saved me along side his mum...they helped me escape. Did everyone make it out?"
Was Fred alive..?

  "We lost one" he said sadly "Alastor Moody was hit with the killing curse"

I put my hand up to my mouth and gasped
  "Was Harry ok?!"

  "Harry was with Hagrid and they are fine, come let's go inside there are a lot of people here who are desperate to see you"

I smiled but I didn't feel the pull I felt when Fred was near me during the fight
  "Is Fred not here..?"

  "How'd you know? He's with Bill and Arthur recovering Mad-eyes body"

I felt my heart tighten
I'm finally home but he's still far away

  "I just feel this pull when he's close, and I don't feel it right now"

  "Interesting...your dad used to say the same about your mum. When true soul mates meet, you experience that"
True soul mates
  "When our souls are split coming into this world it's believed we all have a second half, one that completed us in the other world. I truly believe your dad was whole when he met your mum, and he's back to being whole"

I put my hand on Lupin's shoulder
  "I'm sorry, you lost him too. You knew him longer than me...I can't imagine what you went through"
He lost James, my dad and Peter went to the dark lord's side...Lupin has lost all of his best friends

  "Thank you, your soaked let's get inside and get you changed and warmed up. You should have seen Molly's face light up when she heard you calling out. I had to force her to stay inside while I checked it out"

Lupin said an incantation and an opening occurred straight ahead
  "Welcome Home"
