"Ok team" I said clutching my broom "we've had a few practice by now, but I except today's game to go way better" I looked towards our beaters "if you two don't get your shit together I will find replacements"
Kirke gulped "got it captain"
Slope didn't say anything
"I'm serious, if I see one bludger hit a team mate you are running 15 miles with me tomorrow"
Today was our first game of the season, and we were playing Hufflepuff
"But today will be easy it's just Hufflepuff" said Sloper
I smacked him in the side of the head
"Focus"
He rubbed his head and rolled his eyes
Harry and Ron laughed
"Let's kick some ass" I said huddling the team together
We walked out to the field, it was a warm summer day with no wind
"It's going to be hot today" said Ginny
Our team walked to the center and then mounted our brooms
I stood in front of Zacharias Smith who smirked
"Bet you think this will be an easy win huh" he grabbed my hand and squeezed hard "not this year"
I squeezed even harder "you have no chance"
My team flew up into the sky and got into position
"Let's have a good game" Madame Hooch yelled out
A dreamy voice came over the loud speaker
"Gryffindor and Hufflepuff today, how exciting"
Luna Lovegood was announcing today's game
I smiled at her voice, it's completely different than Lee's aggressive voice
Zacharias Smith was chosen as announcer for games this year, but with him in this one Madame Hooch had to chose another student to fill in the spot
Madame Hooch released the snitch and Bludgers, and then she grabbed the quaffle
"Let's go" she said as she threw it into the air
Zacharias didn't stand a chance I was on the ball within seconds and already at his team's goal post
"Goal for Gryffindor good job Elec-uh Lightning" she said giggling "10 points to start"
The game was going on for hours, what was once a sunny day turn into a cold rain filled field
"Time out" I called
My team all huddled under a spell I threw up into the air
I used my wand to dry us all up and then put a spell on Harry's glasses to keep the rain off of them
"Ok you lot we're doing great" I said jumping up and down to help keep my body warm
Ron came up to my side and used his hands to rub my arms up and down to bring warmth to them while Harry helped Ginny keep warm by holding her close "but just because were ahead doesn't mean we can celebrate. I saw a couple of missed opportunities with those Bludgers be better yeah?"
"Whatever" Sloper said
Everyone glared at him
"What? This is ridiculous" he said again "were doing fine we're going to win regardless if one of you gets hit with a few Bludgers"
I went up to him and grabbed his collar
"Do you want to be here?"
"Obviously" he said scoffing "but you don't have to be such a bitch"
