Klaus was putting on his jacket by the door. He had two other vampires holding onto Katherine and Pam.

"Be safe, Klaus," I told him.

He smiled and placed a kiss on my forehead. "Of course, love. For you and the baby."

He looked at the bodyguards and nodded his head towards the door. I watched as they left the house.

I sighed, spinning on my heels and heading into the living room. I placed myself down on the cushioning and turned on the tv.

As I was watching, I felt the cushion beside me sink in. I turned and noticed Elijah.

"Hey, Kylie," he greeted.

"Hi, Elijah," I said, surprisingly more giddy then I expected.

He smiled at me and looked down towards me stomach. His hand slowly moved towards it, as if he was waiting for approval. Right before he placed his hand onto my belly, he looked up at me.

"May I?" He asked.

I nodded and watched as his hand preceded to touch my stomach. He smiled, as we both felt the baby kick.

"This baby could put our whole family back together. This is what we need," he said to me. He looked up at me before asking, "Does Klaus love you and this baby?"

I smiled and stared down at my feet. "I believe so. He always says he loves us both. And I hope that is true."

Elijah nodded and looked towards the tv in thought. "Well, I have to go. It was lovely seeing you again, Kylie. Take care."

He got up and I watched as he walked towards the front door. Then he vamp sped off.

I turned my gaze back to the tv, not really watching but thinking about everything.

The baby, Klaus, my family, my friends, and even Elijah. All thoughts had different meanings.

My thoughts were once again interrupted, but this time the interrupter wasn't as nice.

The man ran to me and grabbed ahold of my throat. I began to lose breath as I stared at him.

"I can't let you or the baby live," Tyler Lockwood began. "I am truly sorry, Kylie."

I looked deep into his eyes, feeling a power come from inside. My eyes wandered down to my fingers as I clicked them upwards, sending Tyler flying into a wall.

"How dare you threaten me or this child," I exclaimed.

I held my hands up and felt the power over take me. His face contorted as he grabbed ahold of his head.

"Jules, now!" He yelled.

Before I could turn around, I felt a stake go through my chest. I grabbed ahold of it and looked at Tyler.

My vision became blurry as I looked around, wandering why it had to be me.

"I'm so sorry, Kylie," Tyler continued.

He stood up and walked over to me. He squatted down in front of me.

"I didn't want to kill you, but I can't let you have this baby," Tyler exclaimed.

I stared at him, blooding falling from my mouth. I tilted my head and shook it.

"Please, Tyler," I said, the words barely audible.

He sighed. "Jules, let's go. I can't be here."

He and a girl walked away from me, and out the house. I looked at my stomach.

"I'm sorry mommy couldn't protect you."

I grabbed a hold of the stake and pulled it out of my chest, slowly falling to the ground. I had ahold of my stomach.

"I'm so sorry, baby. Just know, mommy will always love you."

I closed my eyes, still holding my stomach. Images flashed through my mind of a baby boy.

I smiled at the thoughts. "You would have been such a cute little boy."

I felt my eyes roll back as I lay there smiling, and holding my stomach. If only I could have done better.
