We all sat in the living room, currently on the topic of kids. Well, Jo and Alaric's kids.
"I'm excited to be an aunt," I blurted out.
Kai looked at me and smiled. I hadn't realized I would only be an aunt if we stayed together.
"I'm sure they will love to have you as an aunt," Jo said.
I smiled. "Have you thought of any names?"
Jo and Alaric nodded. "Josie and Lizzie."
I smiled. "Those names are so cute."
Kai nodded. "My nieces got lucky with their parents."
Jo looked at him, surprised for a moment. Then she smiled, remembering that Kai was changing.
A knock was heard at the door. I jumped at bit, not expecting visitors. Then it clicked.... The Mikaelson's.
I walked to the door and opened it with a smile. "Guys, it's good to see you all," I greeted.
I hugged Elijah. "Come on in, Elijah."
Elijah stepped inside, revealing Hayley and Klaus behind him. Hayley was holding a little baby.
I smiled and jumped in my place. "Klaus come in." I hugged him real quick.
My main focus was on Hayley and Hope. I smiled at Hayley.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," I said, giving her a hug without squashing Hope.
I looked down at Hope and smiled. I playfully tickled her and smiled as she laughed.
"She is so precious," I said.
Hayley smiled and giggled. "Yes she is, but a huge hassle."
"Well, both of you come on in," I said.
I moved aside and they walked in. I helped grabbed their bags. Kai walked over and grabbed some also.
I walked up to the rooms and showed them theirs. We entered the first spare room. Elijah was holding Hayley's hand, so I figured they were a couple.
"Elijah, you and Hayley can have this room," I said.
They nodded and set their things down. I made my way to the next room.
"Klaus, this is yours," I said.
Klaus smiled and set his things down. He plopped on the bed and looked towards me and Kai.
"This is awfully nice. Oh sorry, I'm Klaus. You must be Kai. Elijah mentioned you," Klaus said.
Kai smiled and nodded. "That's me."
"I heard about you and Caroline. I'm happy for you guys," I said.
Klaus smiled and nodded. "Well, thank you."
We all headed back downstairs, joining the party that we left. The party didn't last that long. The night was coming to an end.
"Hey, I think I want to turn tomorrow, is that fine?" Michelle asked.
I looked at her and smiled with a nod. "Yeah. Just come by here. Everything will be ready."
She smiled and nodded. Everyone left the house, leaving me and Kai with the Mikaelson's.
I sat on the couch, holding Hope for the first time. She played with my finger, giggling the whole time. She made me smile with joy.
I missed this. It was stolen from me too early. My heart longed for something like this.
Kai came by and sat down next to me. He looked at Hope and smiled.
"She's adorable. But ours will be even more adorable."
I looked at him with wide eyes. We hadn't ever talked about marriage or kids before, so this was all new.
"You want kids with me?"
Kai laughed and kissed my temple. "Of course. How could I not? You are so perfect. You'd make amazing kids."
I smiled and kissed him. "Especially if they were yours."
He nodded. "Yeah. They'd be really good looking. Both ways of course," he said smirking.
I laughed and shook my head. Hope giggled with his, making me awe.
Hayley entered the room and looked down at Hope. "She loves you already. I just got done unpacking."
I nodded and handed Hope back to her. She smiled and looked down at Hope. She cooed her, attempting to make her sleepy.
I smiled at the sight, imagining me doing that one day. It would be Kai's kid. We would both be there cooing the baby.
I got up from the couch and headed off into my bedroom. I was extremely exhausted from the party. Kai joined me in bed and kissed my forehead.
"Sleep well, Kylie," he said.
I smiled and buried myself in his chest. "You too, Kai. Love you."
"I love you too."
