-Louis POV once again-

I walk the empty halls alone at night time just thinking to myself

'what am I going to do?' 'I'm gonna go to the yule ball alone, who needs a date when you've got yourself!' I think to myself going back to the Gryffindor common room.

-next day-

today we don't have classes, why? I don't know but I'm happy!

I walk out to the tree that me and my friends sit at everyday, knowing they would be there already, I mean it is 9am, everyone is up at that time. I see them talking with Y/n and slow down my walking pace. not that I don't wanna see her, I just don't wanna make a fool of my self, and her talking about yesterday. suddenly I feel a tap on my shoulder and I turn around

"oh, Hi Professor McGonagall" I say surprised, she nods and looks around

"the Yule ball is coming up, I sure do hope you have a date" she stated bluntly with a warm smile

"no..do I need a date?" I ask cluelessly and she nods politely

"I would hurry up and ask someone Mr. Partridge" she says and walks away from me, I turn and start walking towards the group thinking who am I gonna ask to the dance, Y/n probably has a date and if she doesn't then why would she would want to go with me? she would have to be crazy. anyhoo

"oh hi Louis" Millie greets me with a smile seeing I am there which I return, her sudden action makes everyone look at me and smile saying 'hey' 'hi' 'sup', of course Finn was the one who says 'sup' but Y/n didn't say hi to me which kinda hurt doe I don't know why. Finn then turns to Y/n

"so Y/n/n, you have a date to the Yule ball?" he asks her, I clench my fists when she starts to blush

"no. not yet, no ones asked me other than Draco and....yeah, no one" she replied with a small smile

"why do you ask?" she questions him, he smirks at her 'don't you dare wolfhard' I think to myself

"no reason" he shrugged and turned to me

"Louis, do you have a date yet?" he asked me this time

"no, I was gonna go alone but Professor McGonagall said I need a date" I imply nodding my head

"oh that's a shame you two" he says sadly, the group goes silent for a bit. I can fell eyes on me as I look down at me robe and shoes, I look up and everyone in the group is turning head to look at Y/n and I 'what in the world are they doing" I think. after a bit Finn rolls his eyes at me and points to Y/n with his eyes and makes a signal, I give him a confused look because in all honesty I don't know what the fuck he's trynna do, he rolls his eyes again a then points to Y/n with his hands

"ask her" he mouthed to me, then I realised what he was doing, I shake me head quickly at him letting you know that I don't wanna embarrass myself in front of them she says no. he nods him head making me know he understands. then shoves and pushes everyone away 'well fuck'. I look over to Y/n to see her looking around awkwardly and probably uncomfortably. I clear my throat which got her attention, she gives me a small smile which I return to her.

"sorry I didn't say Hi to you, I was just thinking about last night and couldn't talk, well I could've but just..-" "didn't" we say in sync making us laugh nervously

"so um" she starts but stops to probably find words

"I need a date to the Yule ball, like Professor McGonagall said I need a date" I state, 'louis what the fuck was that' I think to myself, I hear her laugh

"I mean I would expect that, I mean the Yule ball is a tradition here, and every tri wizard champion needs to dance so, for that to happen you would need a date" she giggles cutely

"right, well I didn't know that so" I say nodding

"so you wanna...go with me to the ball?" I ask nervously

"well I sure am flattered that you asked me, but I don't really want to be your date just because you have to have one, I would rather you just ask me cause you want me to be your date" she explained to me with a small sorrow-looking smile, louis fuck what did you do'

"but I mean if you really need one then I guess I'll have to go with you" she says with a little smile.
