*3rd Person's POV*
Well, I can say na thankful ako for what happened dahil nakikiayon sa'kin ang tadhana but I didn't do anything. My hands are clean."
"Matagal nang madumi 'yang pagkatao mo, Pauline."
"And you think you aren't? Oh, come on.

*Kathryn's POV*
We're on our way home from Laguna. It was a not-so-fine day, umuulan kasi. We're having a good time chatting with each other inside our car.
"My (mi), balik tayo do'n sa Christmas, ah?" Kuya said excitedly.
"Of course," Mom answered.
"Shit!" Dad cursed kaya napatingin kaming tatlo sa kanya.
"What's wrong?" Mom asked with a nervous tone.
"The f*cking brake isn't working," Dad said that made us panic.
We're about to cross an intersection nang bigla kaming mabundol ng truck dito sa side ko. The last thing I heard was the shattering of the glass windows and everything went black.
Unfamiliar scents of chemicals and beeping sounds of machines immediately runned through my senses when I finally had the strength to open my eyes. I cannot feel anything at the moment, even my body, but I at least tried my best to move my index finger and I think I did it. I can freely move my finger, at least.
A crying lady rushed to hug me. I lowered my sight and I finally saw that woman's face, it's my mom. She's sobbing and I can tell by the state of her face that she hadn't slept for days because there are visible dark circles under her eyes.
"Are you f-feeling okay, a-anak?" she tried her best not to let her voice crack and she made it. I just looked at her eyes for a while and eyed everyone behind her.
There they are: Lauren, Kuya, Daddy and Edmark.
Just like my Mommy, their eyes are all filled with tears, too. How can they even manage to let even a single tear out in front of me in spite of the fact that they are all lying to me all this time? I despise them all.
