Capítulo IV- Dooley Y Valmorida Al Rescate
Patience had her arms restrained behind her back by a lunch lady. Leo was beside her as well restrained, together they were pushed into the lunchroom, stumbling over their feet. Patience straightened herself and sent a wave at Adam, Bree, and Chase.
"Oh, goody. What do you want?" Principal Perry asked the duo.
Patience handed Leo the note and he gave it to Perry, "There's an emergency and my stepdad asked me to give you this."
"Oh, yum! Second Lunch!" Perry crumpled the piece of paper and shoved it in her mouth, swallowing it without blinking.
Leo exclaimed, "What are you doing? This is serious. It's a matter of life and death!"
"You said that same thing when the vending machine ran out of cheese curls."
"But this is different! Please! You gotta let them go!"
"No," Perry chuckled, "Although, there might be a way they can earn their freedom."
"And what is that exactly?" Patience asked.
"Flo, guard the tweens," Perry pointed at Leo and Patience.
Leo and Patience's eyes widened, they grew closer together as Flo and another lunch lady narrowed their eyes at them and held a metal spoon in their hands. Leo and Patience sheepishly smiled at them as Perry forced the students to clear the area.
Perry came back with three baseball bats. She explained the concept of the game while the lunch ladies pried open the doors. Perry handed Adam, Bree, and Chase the baseball bats, and the three began spinning.
"34, 35," Principal Perry counted.
"Spin! Spin! Spin!" the students cheered.
"And 40! Okay, whoever makes it out the open door is free to leave! Go!"
Adam, Bree, and Chase glanced around the room, their feet crossed one another attempting to catch themselves. "Come on, guys! Come on, guys! Come on!" Leo and Patience cheered.
Adam's weight caught up to him and he fell a few feet away from the exit door, Leo and Patience let out groans from the impact. Bree waddled near Leo and Patience as the two pointed the direction. "Come on, Bree! You can do this!" However, Bree tripped and landed on the chairs.
Patience grimaced then faced Chase, he had his arms out slightly stumbling, losing his balance. " Come on, Chase!" his friends cheered.
"Come on! Freedom is so close, can't you just taste it?" Perry shouted.
