Capitulo XXVI- Cibermáscaras

Patience's toothy grin plastered on her face as Bree talked to Jake Chambers. Adam and Chase shared confused expressions, they glance at each other then back at Patience. "Patience, why are you so smiley?" Adam paused, "More than usual."

"I'll answer that in a second- Oh, here she comes." Bree's hands wrapped around her backpack's strap. An excited smile invaded her lips as she came up to them. "Did he do what I think he did?"

Bree nodded, "Yes!" The two rose their hands, laced their fingers, and squealed.

"This is so exciting!"

"I know!" Bree gasped, "We could get-"

Chase interrupted Bree and Patience, "Wait, what's going on?"

"You will never believe what just happened. Jake Chambers asked me to the winter dance!" Bree clenched her fists in excitement.

In false happiness, Chase said, "Jake Chambers." Bree nodded. "The Jake Chambers!"

"Yes."

"Who's Jake Chambers?"

Bree and Patience's faces fell at the same time. "Why did you act like you knew him?" Patience asked.

Chase replied, "I thought the name would ring a bell. Who is he and how do you know about Jake Chambers?"

"He asked me about Bree."

Bree turned to Patience, "He did!- I mean, he did?"

"Yeah. It was so hard keeping it a secret." Patience faced Adam and Chase, "He's the only person who's spoken to her since the whole world found out you were bionic."

"Apparently no one wants to date a girl who they think was unveiled at this year's auto show," Bree added.

"I don't know why people don't understand you're human. Principal Perry still thinks your robots," Patience stated. "It's nearly been a year."

"Once someone stopped us in the middle of the hall and asked me if I was capable enough of having emotions because I'm," Chase put his fingers up, quoting, "dating a human." Adam and Bree furrowed their eyebrows.

"Yeah, we were confused too. But when we started explaining, they left us alone." Patience's gaze fell on Jake heading their way. "Oh, here comes Jake," she warned. Bree spun around.

"Hey, Bree," Jake grinned.

Patience hooked her arms with Adam and Chase, dragging them away from Bree. Adam released himself from her grip and made his way to the office. "What are you doing?"

"I'm honoring Principal Perry," he answered.

Patience asked Chase, "What's that supposed to mean?" He shrugged. She followed Adam to the office. He picked up the intercom and held down the speaking button. Patience rushed up to him and gripped the device. "No, give me that."
