Capítulo III- La rebelion
At this point in life, Patience should've learned to trust her gut, specifically, with people. She needed to stop excusing people and stand up for herself or follow an instinct she believed was true. She ignored her gut thinking she was overthinking things and let it slide. She thought maybe Sebastian was having a rough time with training and schoolwork they had to do. The lesson of trusting your gut was taught over and over and not once did she bother to pick it up. She had to learn it the hard way by signing her life away. She was locked inside an academy full of bionic teenagers with her family.
Adam, Bree, and Chase had come to their senses and stood closer to the screen. Chase seemed to be okay. He rubbed his chest and his face scrunched touching the forming bruise. His siblings watched him closely and supported him as they got closer to the screen. They kept a distance from Sebastian, fearing he'd attack them again. The students kept their chants going, glancing at each other. "Rebellion! Rebellion! Rebellion!"
Adam gradually pupped his fists in the air. "Rebellion! Rebellion!" Bree narrowed her eyes, drawing her face forward and Chase gave him a tired look. "What? It's catchy."
Once Chase was able to steady himself, Bree let go. She directed their attention to the screen, "Guys, Leo and Patience are still trapped in there."
"Not for long." Sebastian shouted, "Soldiers! If you're truly committed to this rebellion, it's time for you to prove yourselves. Your first order, take out Leo and Patience." He ended the call after giving the orders and the bionic soldiers turned their heads to them.
"Rebellion! Rebellion!" They took one step forward with each chant, "Rebellion! Rebellion! Rebellion!"
Leo and Patience placed their hands in front of them as they backed away from the bionic army. Bob, Spin, and Xue were in the front leading them. Leo discreetly said to them, "Guys, what are you doing? Help us out!"
"No way!" Spin's fists clenched, "Sebastian's right. We never should've trusted you!"
"Come on, Bob, Xue, don't let them do this!"
"Please, we'll make sure we explain everything and from there you can decide if you still want to kill us," Patience sheepishly smiled, nudging Leo, not bothering to remove her eyes off the crowd, "right?"
He looked down at his best friend, "I'd rather not let them kill us at all."
"It's an option."
"In case you haven't noticed, I kind of follow the herd," Bob pointed to the bionic soldiers behind him.
They yelled louder, "Rebellion! Rebellion!"
"Xue, please," Patience's eyes softened, "I thought we were friends."
She shrugged, "Sorry, Patience. I won't stay here to be the government's pawn. I have better things to do than save lives."
