Capítulo XXX- Cómo Dañar A Un Niño

Patience will never skip out on a good decorating opportunity, especially when it comes to Christmas as we all know. Tasha picked Patience up this morning so Dante can stay home and rest until later, the restaurant became busy the day before and after managing a busy kitchen, he needed it. The gym was already filled with decorations from two days ago. It just needed its final touchups before the children arrive for the toy drive.

The children arrived one by one or in small groups. Tasha and Patience warmly invited them with juice or milk cartons with the homemade cookies they made. If they were still hungry they could take more cookies from the tray. Tasha withdrew her phone from her pocket, "Patience, could you take a picture of me holding these Adam, Bree, and Chase action figures?"

Patience took Tasha's phone, "Sure. Did Mr. Davenport let you give hand them out for the drive, or did you make him?"

"I found them just laying around in this box. I don't think anybody wanted them." Tasha dug out five figures from a cardboard box and neatly posed in front of the table. Patience snapped the photo of a grinning Tasha and gave her back her phone.

"They must be the old ones. Chase is trying to find a way to improve the toys." Patience leaned over Tasha's shoulder to read the text she wrote underneath her picture, At the toy drive. Giving is so much fun. "Shouldn't you have texted something a little less forceful?"

Tasha shrugged, "It'll be fine. Now, let's go hand out these toys to the children, we already ran out of Nerbles." She gave four action figures to Patience to hand out.

Patience and Tasha's friendly smiles slapped across their faces. The children roamed the gym with their new toys. They showed them to their friend or their parents beside them, most of them had the Nerble in their hands, pinching the top and bouncing it in the air.

Someone tugged on Patience's coat. "Excuse me?" Patience looked down at the little girl wearing a blue-sleeved A-line dress with her ponytail up high.

"Oh, hi. I like your dress," Patience said.

"Thanks, I'm going to a Christmas party later." The little girl asked, "I was wondering, could I have that Bree doll?"

"Yeah, of course," Patience held the remaining three figures with one arm, and with the free hand, she gave her her toy. "Is she your favorite?"

"Yeah, she's so cool. She can run super fast and turn invisible and sound like anybody she wants."

"I agree. Do you wanna know a secret?" She nodded her head rapidly. Patience bent down, "I'm best friends with her."

     She gasped, "Really."

"Yeah. I can call her if you want."

"Yes! Please!" she rose her voice, a bright smile immediately appeared on her face.
