Capítulo VIII- Accidentes Pasan

Adam, Leo, and Patience stepped out of the lab elevators. Her eyebrows furrowed at the rope on the ground. She turned her head to Chase, he was in the corner. His face was filled with excitement with a glint of mischief in his eyes. She continued walking by Leo who pointed out, "Trap," and stepped over the rope.

Adam furrowed his eyebrows, glancing around the room, "Trap what?" his foot was perfectly placed in the middle of the trap. Chase clicked the button. Adam yelpt, "Whoa!" the rope tightened around his foot and Adam dangled from the ceiling.

Patience's eyes grew wide leaping away before Adam's long arms hit her. Chase hopped up and down, "Oh, yes! It worked!" he made his way to Adam, "Now, let's see how you like being manhandled!" Chase corrected himself, "That came out wrong."

Patience pinched her fingers together, "Maybe just a little bit."

"Oh, the trap was on the floor," Adam lightly chuckled.

"Yep, and now we're gonna play a game called 'Human Piñata.' But instead of candy, we're gonna guess what Adam had for lunch."

Leo crossed his arms, "Ironically, I'm guessing it's candy."

"You're forgetting one thing, Chase. I can use my heat vision to break free."

Patience cut in, "Adam, I don't think-"

Adam faced up and aimed at the rope. His heat vision burned through the rope, Adam landed shoulder first on the center desk, then tumbled to the concrete ground. The group grimaced at the loud thud. Adam shot up from the ground, "Ha! Nice try!"

Patience's mouth opened. Adam's shoulder popped out of place, his arm abnormally swung behind him meeting his other shoulder.

Bree pointed at his shoulder, "Uh, Adam?"

"Whoa! I never knew my arm could bend like that," Adam laughed.

     "Um," Chase hesitated. "It can't."

Adam yelled in pain clutching his shoulder. Leo's eyes rolled to the back of his head and lost feeling in his legs. Patience caught Leo before he struck the ground head first.
