Capítulo XXXIII- ¿Como una banda se separaron?
It had been three weeks since Adam, Bree, and Chase broke up the team. When Mr. Davenport told the bionic siblings something needed to change, Patience was sure Mr. Davenport didn't mean by that. She didn't know if it was for the better or for the worse. For the past three weeks, Adam, Bree, and Chase didn't talk to each other unless they had to. Patience often had to schedule her days to hang out with someone because they hardly wanted to be in a room together.
It wasn't until they called the president to tell him the news that the team broke up she was informed. Patience was hoping they'd fix their problems like they always did but when Chase said, "We're dissolving the team." her mouth hung open.
Mr. Davenport even tried to convince them not to break up but he couldn't. Everyone went their own directions, Leo and Patience had gone back to his room to play on the Wii. She eventually went back to the lab. Chase was speaking to himself and it was inaudible. His back faced her and he didn't turn around from deep thought. "Hey, Chase," she softly smiled.
His head perked up, swiftly spinning to face her, "Uh, Patience. There you are, I was just about to look for you."
"You already knew I was upstairs with Leo." Chase glanced at the purse diagonally thrown over her shoulder. Her two hands clutched it, she must be leaving soon.
"Right, I did." Chase's hands gripped on the edge of the console.
Patience wasn't able to see what he was working on. She pursed her lips and clasped her hands in front of her. "What are you doing down here, besides hiding away from Adam and Bree?"
"Oh, nothing you need to worry about." He swiped to the right and closed out of the notes scribbled across the screen.
"Okay." Patience hadn't spoken to Chase since they got back from their failed mission. She wasn't mad anymore. She just wanted to talk to him to make sure they weren't on bad terms.
Chase has also wanted to speak to Patience. He has been trying to find a way to speak to her without screwing things up further, hence, the notes hidden away from her. Her forehead didn't crease as it did earlier, her eyebrows had dropped down with a sad smile now knowing that Chase had misread it as a soft one.
His hands fell to his side and his shoulders collapsed. His mouth parted. Chase blamed himself for the reason she felt miserable. "Patience, I am really sorry about what happened today."
She pursed her lips tightly. "It's okay, but I'm not the person you should be apologizing to."
"No, I'm apologizing to you. I acted so dismissive to you instead of listening," he stepped to her. "I know it was wrong of me to do so and I'm so sorry."
