Capítulo XXXX- La academia de biónicos
Patience was always a fan of adrenaline-rushing rides. If she saw a roller coaster going upside down, zoom through a massive drop, or have sudden jerks side to side, she'd immediately run into the line. Leo, Dante, and Tasha, mostly Leo, had called her crazy too many times to count. She never really knew why she liked going on them so much, all she knew was at the age of four she pointed at the roller coaster with the highest drop, asking her parents if she could get on. Her father tried to convince her that she wasn't ready for that ride but Patience didn't care. The only thing that stopped her was the height required to be to get on the ride.
When Chase informed her that the hydroloop travels a hundred miles within 30 seconds, she was already in her seat with her seat belt fastened. Dante and Leo shared glances not even bothered to say anything at that point. Patience's back was pressed against her seat with a smile. A fuzzy feeling burst through her stomach as it sped off to the island. On her left, Dante gripped the handles on his seat. He wasn't as fond of adrenaline-rushing rides as she was. He had a limit.
The hydroloop slowed its velocity near its destination and the fuzzy feeling at the center of Patience's stomach disappeared with it. The hydroloop smoothly halted. She grimaced, looking away from Leo retching next to her. He sighed, leaning against his seat. "Are you okay?" Patience questioned, ignoring the acids on the floor. Leo was kind enough to turn away from her.
"No. I don't think I'll ever get used to that," he cringed.
The hydroloop opened its doors and on the other side was Mr. Davenport. The hydraloop passengers unclasped their seatbelts. "Welcome to the Davenport Bionic Academy," he motioned around, throwing his arms beside him.
An open area filled with cool greys rather than warm purple and gold met Patience's eyes. The ocean waved at them through the glass window on their left, reflecting the blue sky above. A small platform by the widow had tables and stools to view the ocean or peacefully do your work. A desk, which Patience assumed was like the consoles at the lab, was feet within them, along with a large monitor built into the wall. One bench followed along the side of the console.
The first to hop out was Bree. "Whoa, cool!"
"Ooh, a window!" Adam didn't stop to observe anything else and headed to the ocean view with Bree.
"Wow, the hydraloop is amazing!" Chase complimented, grinning ear to ear. "We just went from the mainland to the middle of the ocean in less than 30 seconds!"
"Yep and my lunch just went from my stomach to the floor in less than three," he clutched his stomach, stumbling out of the hydraloop.
Patience assisted Leo by holding onto his back to sit him down on the bench next to the hydraloop. He quietly thanked her before she jumped next to Chase to give Mr. Davenport her input, "Yeah, now I won't need to go to amusement parks. I can go back and forth here."
