Capítulo XXII- Doctores Dooley Y Valmorida

Patience hadn't gone to hospitals very frequently. Which is very surprising considering her friend group. She should have been in the hospital more than once if it weren't for the bionic chip in her neck. As for her bionic friends, it was expected. The first aid drawer in her mission specialist desk came in very handy. Besides, how would you explain three severely harmed teenagers with pieces of metal stuck in their bodies? The FBI and CPS would have a race to be their first visitors.

Three years ago, her younger self would reevaluate the choices Patience made that caused her to have permanent damage to her body. The last time she had been in the hospital, she had been unconscious and her inability to walk had deceased. So it wasn't the worst experience since she didn't remember it. It was much more frightening than waking up in a sketchy warehouse and a metal chip stuck into her neck, refusing to listen to Douglas walkthrough her surgery.

Patience adjusted her support on Tecton, scanning the room. Mighty Med looked like a regular hospital at first sight. Sort of. If you looked closer, you could see the lizard man underneath his hood attending to his patient. There was a lobby in the center of the main room to check heroes in and out. Patience assumed the patients surrounding them in beds were to be treated immediately.

Oliver grinned, "Welcome to Mighty Med, the world's best superhero hospital."

Leo hoisted Gamma Girl securely over his shoulder. His sudden movement of taking in the medical space caused her to almost slip from his shoulders. "First, I get to travel through a wormhole, and now I'm in a superhero hospital? You know, if Chase wasn't dying, this would be the best day ever."

Tecton didn't weigh as heavy the first time. His eyes weren't as dilated and hazy when Patience first picked him up. And as much as Patience liked helping people, she was ready to sit him down on a medical bed. "Where do I put him?"

Three medics rushed down the hall, rolling in a bed for each hero in the bionic heroes' arms. Oliver bounced to his feet as he saw them. "Here, they can take care of them."

With Tecton's help, Patience was able to turn around. Two assistants rolled a bed next to her. She helped support his movements and find his place. The other medical assistant assisted him, shifting his legs onto it. He exhaled, leaning his upper body back. He curtly nodded at her as a thank you before they strolled away with him and the other injured heroes.

When Patience looked over at Chase, he was already on a hospital bed, hooked up to machines. His vitals were displayed on the foot of the bed and doctors looked over him. They cleaned a section on his arm and injected an IV. Patience cringed looking at it.

Patience didn't like seeing needles poke skin. When she was younger, she looked at her dad on the opposite side. The only reason she tolerated seeing the injuries on people they rescued was because they usually arrived on time. However, if she watches it happen, a nauseating feeling would creep up. Not only because she couldn't stand the sight of it, but because she failed to protect them.
