Capítulo XXI- No es una fiesta de disfraces
If Patience hadn't pulled Leo aside, he would've marched to her and asked what happened. She probably knew as much information as he did, but that was wiped from his mind when Bree announced his brother was attacked. Maybe she had a slither of an idea given she was the last one to see him. However, catching the small glare she gave Frank and Frankie, he doubted it. Leo had only seen two people on the opposite end of that glare and it was the two people who nearly killed her friends and family, Douglas and Krane.
It didn't help that two classes whispered about the sudden attack. Bree wasn't exactly the quietest about the emergency. They weren't the best at keeping things low. It was probably something they should work on in the future. The last thing she needed was her class panicking.
Patience placed Kate as Xue's partner and took Leo to the other side of the room. The intruders were practicing their skills in combat, which were no more than crooked punches. She held her arms closer to Leo than she had them up for Kate. Although she was talking to him, he didn't hold back on his strikes. It made up for the times Patience won against him.
His flat foot struck her lowered hand and asked, "They must be the ones who attacked Chase."
"They claimed they were Adam's new students. We need to detain them before they run off."
He glanced over her shoulder. Frank tried kicking Frankie's hand. It was a little above his waistline. He hissed at the unfamiliar stretch to his leg. "They look easy to take down."
She raised a finger, "Remember, never underestimate your opponent."
"Really?" he raised an eyebrow. "Look at them." Frankie pushed his front left for a basic push kick. He lost his balance retreating his foot. "Are we sure they attacked Chase?"
"Never underestimate someone. Besides, they could be faking it." Leo stepped into his kick and his elbow met her hand. "How are we taking them down?" She suggested, shrugging, "Plan C?"
He stopped his next hit, circling his hand, "I was thinking more plan D. It will catch them off guard."
"That one would work better."
Leo and Patience separated. She casually made her way to the front of the classroom, like usual, for an announcement. The class waited for a clear message of assurance, but instead, she swiftly jabbed forward to Frank. Her left arm hooked around his armpit and her other held it downward. She dropped her weight to her feet, rolling her back between his footing. Frank's body fell with her and he rolled onto his back, the air knocking out of his lungs with the rough impact on the ground. She pressed her body weight onto him.
At the same time Patience trapped Frank, Leo wrapped his arms around Frankie's waist. Leo dropped down on his shin, hoisting himself up on his knee. His body spun to the left and Frankie's limp body fell to the floor. Leo trapped his flaring arms as his kneeling leg kept his legs down.
