Capítulo XII- Australia y Una Pastilla
Bree hauled Patience to the school's office. She didn't know exactly what Bree wanted to show her but it was something she learned about recently. Bree picked the brochure from the wall, "Look, it's a school abroad in Australia and I was wondering if you wanted to sign up for the program with me for next year. I've already applied."
"I've heard about this on my first year here," Patience smiled. "Maybe I'll go, I'd have to ask my dad- have you asked Mr. Davenport?"
"Not exactly, I'm still figuring out how to break it to him."
"I don't think that's a good idea, Bree. What if he says no because you know," Patience implied to her bionic life.
"Like I said, I still need to work out all the details."
"Okay, tell me when you have an answer, when's the due date?"
Bree scanned the brochure, "Three weeks from now, but the sooner the better."
"Great, but I'm just letting you know I most likely won't be able to go because of the whole Krane thing." Patience took a brochure from the wall.
"It's okay, I get it." Bree asked, "Are you okay? It's been a couple of days since it's happened."
Patience shrugged, "Yeah, it didn't affect me as much as I thought it would."
"Do you wanna talk about it?"
"There's not much to say. I mostly remember sweating everything out."
Bree gave Patience a small smile, "If you need to talk, I'm available."
"I'll be sure to remember, thank you." Patience hooked her arm with Bree and the two walked out of the office. The two made their way to Adam, Chase, and Leo sitting on the circular bench.
Bree asked them, "Hey, did you guys know we had a study abroad program?"
Adam furrowed his eyebrows, "Why would I go to another country to do something I don't do here?" Chase and Leo gestured towards Adam sharing the expression of 'he's got a point'.
Bree showed them the brochure, "Look, it says you get to spend a whole semester at a high school in Australia. And guess what? I applied."
"Cool! Kelly Porter went last year." Leo punched the air, "She got sucker-punched by a kangaroo."
"Well, all right," Adam grinned, "I guess we're going to Australia."
"Uh, no, no, no. No way. This is my thing, well, our thing if Patience could come. We can study, travel, make new friends-"
Chase interjected, standing next to Bree, "Mmm, I hate to be a wet blanket."
Leo shook his head, "No, you don't."
