For our new album, Keenan, Sophie, and I had to go over to Australia to do photos for the new albums and do a quick concert to promote it. We should be there for around a week. I packed jeans, skirts, dress pants, casual tops, sweatshirts, and some dressy outfits. I put lots of shoes into the suitcase. I took care of toiletries. I don't have to pack too much since the management takes care of our hotel reservations so we can borrow stuff like towels. I put my iPad, iPhone, chargers, headphones, a pillow, a blanket, and pajamas in my carry on bag. We get to travel in a private jet. It is a lot of fun having the whole plane to yourself. It's a Saddle Club tradition for each of us to take some food on the plane for snacks. I made cream cheese brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and bought pretzels.
I took my suitcase and went downstairs. I was kind of sad to leave my whose line friends. Ryan, Colin, and Jeff were waiting for me. The van to take us to the airport pulled into the driveway. "Have you got everything?" Colin asked. "I think so," I answered. I took a few steps closer to them. "I'll miss you," I said hugging Colin. "I'll miss you too sweetheart. Try to call when you can even with the time difference," he replied hugging me. I moved on to Ryan. "Bye Ry," I sniffled hugging him. "Bye Jennifer. I can't wait till you get back," Ryan replied giving me the best hug ever. Lastly, it was Jeff's turn. "Thanks for subbing for me," I told him while hugging him. "It's my pleasure. Be careful okay," Jeff said squeezing me. "I will," I smiled. Jeff is definitely the protective brother figure in my life. I waved goodbye, headed out the door with my suitcase, and got in the car. We picked up Keenan and Sophie and drove to the airport.
It was nice being able to skip long lines at the airport. We checked in quickly and boarded our private jet. After a few minutes, we took off for Australia. I got up when we were allowed to walk around the plane. I unwrapped the cream cheese brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and pretzels. "Those look amazing. What are they?" Keenan asked pointing to the brownies. "Those are homemade cream cheese brownies," I informed her. She took one and bit into it. "That is so yummy," Keenan said excitedly. "Thanks," I laughed. All of us took one before putting it in the fridge. "Can you guys believe how long it's been since we've been to Australia?" Sophie asked. "It's been at least five years," I answered. "I missed you guys so much," Sophie said hugging us. Keenan and I hugged her back. "I heard your name on the news a few days ago Jennifer. What was it about?" Sophie asked. "I took my parents to court with the help of Drew Carey. They've been abusing me and I couldn't take it anymore. We won though so I won't have to see them again," I answered honestly. "I'm so sorry. I didn't know they hurt you," Keenan replied. "I didn't tell anyone until they put my in the hospital after disguising chocolate with rat poison on the site of whose line is it anyway. I had to tell them what they do so they wouldn't think that I tried to overdose or something. I'm glad I did though. Colin is my dad now," I informed. "That's great," they replied.
We made wraps for lunch and had some snacks. We spent hour singing some of our songs and songs that we've heard on the radio. It really reminded me of the song we recorded yesterday called Secrets and Dreams. "Believing so faithfully, that we will always be as one, secrets and dreams." Problems seems to disappear when we're together. I'm so grateful that we met on the Saddle Club. We changed from acting like close friends in front of the cameras to being best friends. "Jennifer? Are you okay?" Sophie asked. I was brought back to my amazing reality. "I'm fine. I was just thinking about how much you guys mean to me," I answered hugging them tightly. "Aw. We love you too," they replied hugging me back.
We played twister, pictionary, and watched a lot of movies before having a late dinner. We had spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. It was amazing. We're so lucky that we have someone to make our food instead of having traditional airplane meals. When it got late, we got into our pajamas and told funny stories. Most people go for ghost stories but we don't like doing that spooky stuff. I told the story about when my family and I went to Canada. My mom thought that the cream was the milk on this train ride so we drank the cream before a waiter told us that it wasn't milk. It tasted so disgusting. We couldn't stop laughing. It was a lot of fun hearing funny and embarrassing stories. At 10:00, we got ready for bed. We washed our faces, brushed our teeth, and got a drink of water. All of us went to the sleeping part of the jet. Keenan, Sophie, and I were put in a room together. I took my pillow and blanket out of my carry on bag and brought it with me. Even though the beds, had pillows and blankets, I prefer using my own stuff if possible. Each of us got in a bed and pulled up the covers. "Goodnight," we said to each other. The light was turned off. I fell asleep next to my best friends.
Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed this chapter. It's fun for me to imagine what it would be like being a celebrity. I appreciate all the get well wishes I received. It means a lot to me. It turns out I just have a virus. I'm so glad that my tonsils weren't the problem. I am starting to feel better but my throat still feels a little funny. Thanks for all the support. You guys are amazing.
Lots of love,
jhorses
