I woke up on the floor with a dull ache throughout my body. I groaned as I sat up to see what time it was. The clock read 7:45! I panicked. I quickly ran through my morning routine and put on jeans and a black and gray t-shirt. I brushed my hair, sprayed on some perfume, and covered my lips in lip balm. The house seemed too quiet. I put this thought aside as I saw Colin's car pull up the driveway. I put on a black blazer and got into the car. "How are you this morning Jennifer?" Colin asked cheerfully. "I'm doing pretty well," I lied. My stomach growled. "Didn't you have any breakfast?" Colin chuckled. "I was a bit rushed this morning," I replied honestly. "I'm sure there will be some food somewhere at the studio," he said.
We pulled up to the studio and got out of the car. Ryan was getting out of his car also. "Hey guys," he said. "Hi Ryan," I replied running up to him and giving him a big hug. "How are you doing sweetheart?" he asked hugging me. "Good," I smiled. We walked into the studio together. I went into the cast lounge and grabbed a bagel and orange juice. I finished them quickly. "You really chugged that orange juice," Wayne said behind me. "I was thirsty," I replied. From the smirk on his face, I realized that he made a dirty joke out of it. "Very funny Wayne," I played along with it. He laughed and went to his dressing room. I went to my dressing room. There was a box of chocolates on the desk. "Looks like you have a secret admirer," Ryan said. "I guess so," I replied. I'll save them for later. Drew walked into my dressing room. "Would you feel comfortable enough doing a duet with Wayne?" he asked. "I think so," I replied. "Great," Drew smiled and left the room.
Ryan, Colin, Wayne, and I went out to our seats and attached our microphones to our shirts. A few people from the audience came up to us so we talked with them for a few minutes, signed some stuff, and took pictures with them. Drew went out to his desk and we did the opening of the show. "This first game is going to be Duet. This is for Jennifer and Wayne with the help of Laura Hall and Linda Taylor," he announced. Drew went out into the audience and picked out a man. He shook our hands and sat on the stool. "This is Derrick and he works in the diesel industry. You'll be singing the song in the style of the Village People. Take it away," Drew said. Wayne and I exchanged a look and smiled. The music started and we started dancing. "Oh. I said yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah," we both sang. "Well Derrick, he's the best I've ever seen and running the warehouse and watching diesel gasoline. Nobody's better, nobody's better than Derrick," I sang. "Now Derrick, he's really fine. Derrick, he deals with diesel not gas. He's Derrick. He's really terrific, even though his job description isn't specific," Wayne replied. "Derrick: D-E-R-R-I-C-K," we spelled with our bodies. "Pump that diesel gasoline," I sang. We mad Derrick do the motion with us. "Working in the warehouse," Wayne sang. Derrick stood up and started doing a kick line. We joined him and continued to sing. "Derrick, he's the best I've ever seen at pumping gasoline," I sang. "In the warehouse," Wayne added. The audience went crazy. Wayne put his arm around my shoulder. We couldn't stop smiling as we walked back to our seats. "How many points should we give them?" Drew asked Derrick. "Two billion," Derrick answered in a high-pitched voice. We laughed.
We played Sideways Scenes , Questions, and Newscaster. After the show, we went to our dressing rooms. "I wonder who brought those chocolates," I thought to myself. I took one and put it in my mouth. It was really tasty. "These are pretty good," I said. Drew walked into my room. "You have some fan mail already," he said. "Wow," I exclaimed. "Don't be so surprised. You have been fantastic," Drew replied. "Thanks," I smiled before he left. I read the letters. They were really sweet. I took the time to write each person a short note and included a signed headshot. I gave them to the person in charge of the Whose Line fan mail. I was still a little hungry so I ate a couple more chocolates. I spent some time shopping for some Christmas gifts online. One hour later, I wasn't feeling too good. My stomach hurt, I felt way too warm, and I had a headache. I took off my blazer and fell asleep on the couch.
