"It's time to wake up," Gina said coming into our room. I rolled over in my bed and sat up. It was 8:40. I got out of bed and walked to the kitchen. There was a buffet of french toast, bacon, eggs, and fruit for us and the crew. I took a little bit of everything and poured a glass of orange juice for myself. The girls walked into the room and got some breakfast before sitting down at the table with me. "What time do we have to be at the mall for the album debut?" Keenan asked. "The event starts at 10:30 so have to be there at 10:00," I answered. I took a bite of french toast. It was really good. I went to the bathroom to get ready. I washed my face and brushed my teeth. The cold water woke me up. I put on a pair of khaki pants, a white tank top, a jean jacket, white flip flops, and a gold necklace. I brushed my hair and swiped mint lip balm on my lips. "You look fabulous," Sophie said. "Thanks," I replied. I looked at myself in the mirror. I was happy with the way I looked. Exercising and eating right made me feel so much better about myself. It's not that I was eating that bad but now I eat really healthy. When everyone was ready, we piled into a van and drove to the biggest mall in Melbourne.
I couldn't believe my eyes when we got there. It was the biggest mall I have ever seen in my life. All of us hopped out of the van and entered the mall through the back exit so we wouldn't have to deal with the paparazzi yet. "What songs are we performing?" I asked Gina. "The three of you will be singing Secrets and Dreams, Hello World and everyone will be singing Everybody Come On," she answered. We received our microphones. "I'm so excited," Janelle exclaimed. We smiled enthusiastically. People were chanting, "We love the Saddle Club!" I can speak for everyone when I say that it makes all the hard work we put into performing and making the show worth it. Gina gave us a signal that we were going out soon. "And now the moment you have all been waiting for, please welcome Keenan, Sophie, and Jennifer. It's the Saddle Club," the announcer informed excitedly. We walked out on stage smiling. There were so many fans watching us. People were even looking down on us from the second and third floors of the mall. "How are we doing today?" I asked. The audience screamed. "As you know, today is the debut of our new album Secrets and Dreams so we're going to sing some song for you today," Keenan said. The music for Secrets and Dreams came on. The three of us sang our verses and sang together for the final chorus. The fans screamed and clapped. "Thank you very much! Now we're going to sing Hello World," Sophie announced. The famous introduction played and we began singing. It was just like old times. Keenan, Sophie, and I smiled as we sang. When the song was over, we bowed. "Thank you very much. Now please welcome Heidi, Kia, Janelle, and Jessica," I introduced. They walked out onto the stage waving. The guitar solo for Everybody Come On began. We did a dance that accompanied the song. The performance went well. We had a meet and greet with the fans which was a lot of fun. We headed back to the set.
"We're going to rehearse the show from start to end," Gina informed. The crew got the horses ready and we changed into clothes for the show. We went right outside the arena with the horses and I mounted Rocky. "Please welcome Keenan, Sophie, and Jennifer," the stage manager said into the microphone. We galloped into the arena in order and rehearsed the show with all the other performers. By the end of the show, I was so tired and needed a shower. I dismounted Rocky and led him to the yard for a cool down. "Good job boy. You were amazing," I told him. I petted Rocky's neck and walked him around for a few minutes. I gave Rocky a nice long bath to get him ready for the arena show premiere tomorrow. I brushed him, cleaned his hooves, and combed his mane and tail. I kissed Rocky's muzzle and petted it gently. I clipped on his lead rope to his halter and led him into his stall before saying goodbye.
I walked back to the house and dug through my tour supplies. I grabbed a towel, washcloth, shower gel, shampoo, and a brush. I took a long refreshing shower. I changed into shorts and a t-shirt. I brushed my hair and let it dry naturally. We had tacos, rice, and beans for dinner. The tour managers even got a pinata for us with candy inside. We had such a fun time trying to get the most candy. I decided to go back to my room to make a phone call. I dialed Colin's number. "Hello?" he answered. "Hey dad it's me," I stated. "How are you doing Jennifer?" Colin asked. "I'm doing well. Today, our new album came out and we performed at the biggest mall in Melbourne," I informed. "Congratulations! I heard about that on the news. There were over 5,000 people watching you which is a record for performing in a mall," he said. "That's amazing. Today we ran through the entire show. It turned out really nice but it was a lot of work. I'm so tired," I replied. "Get to bed early and I'm sure you'll be fine. When's your first show?" Colin asked. "It's tomorrow," I answered. "Good luck! I know you'll do great," he exclaimed. "Thanks dad. I might not be able to call for awhile since I'll be on tour," I informed. "It's alright. I completely understand," Colin replied. "Cool. Love you," I said before ending the call. I got dressed, brushed my teeth, and fell asleep feeling excited about the tour.
Hey everyone! I'm so sorry that it's been so long since I've posted a chapter for this story. I have advanced placement tests next week so things have been a little crazy. I have to take three for psychology, german, and literature so I apologize in advance for not having much time to write. Thanks for sticking with me.
Lots of love,
jhorses
