It was already nighttime, the skies were a shade of the darkest of blue as stars littered the horizon. Forced to talk more about the upcoming expedition instead of getting rest, Iris and Erwin walk toward his office.
"Tell Flagon that we'd need more personnel on standby near the gates. Make sure the horses have the proper equipment and the troops don't have faulty gears." He reached for his keys and let out a sigh, his body already screaming for him to sleep.
"Okay." Iris nodded and turned around to leave. What the two didn't know was that Furlan had infiltrated the captain's room a few minutes ago. With his criminal knowledge, it was no surprise that he was able to pick the locks skillfully. Furlan hid behind a wall that leads north of the survey corps building.
"What? It wasn't there?" Isabel raised her brows in concern. Their friend had already spoken of the news that the documents they very much needed weren't anywhere in Erwin's office. She was stressed at how difficult their mission was. When the old man Lovof told them that no matter what, they'd make contact with the enemy, Isabel never thought that it would end up like this!
They watched their leader-- who had his eyes closed, thinking about what to do. "This could only mean one thing... either that captain has the documents or the squad leader does!" said Furlan.
Isabel snapped her fingers and nodded. "That's right!"
"Tomorrow, when we go for the expedition... we can grab the document from the captain or Iris while they're distracted-- and then... we go for the kill." The two hesitated at their own idea, remembering that there was Iris. Because of the stress, Furlan nearly ripped out his hair, along with a grunt of frustration.
"What do we do with the squad leader, Levi?" The man finally opened his eyes, annoyed at the situation as well. "Nothing," he replied.
"You two will do nothing. Obviously, we can't handle someone as skilled as Ms. Pretty face--"
"Pretty face?" both questioned in unison but immediately froze when they saw his glare.
"Listen, you two. Aside from what we've seen on the training and from the chase. We've never seen her in action. So let me focus solely on Erwin while you two just follow their instructions. Our orders were to kill him and grab those documents."
Isabel furrowed her brows, stepping forward in protest. "No way! We can't let you do everything alone." Furlan agreed but it seemed as if Levi had already made up his mind. He just wanted to protect his friends.
--But as usual, they always have something to say. It was hard for Isabel and Furlan to convince him but after a few meaningful words, Levi let out a sigh and agreed. Tomorrow, their lives are going to change. Hopefully for the better.

"Everyone, make sure to check your gears!" Iris clapped her hands to bring everyone's attention. With her gear already perfectly placed and ready, she made sure to check if her squad's gears were.
She was suited up almost like the primmest survey corp there ever was. Her forest green cloak was wrapped around her warmly, perfectly suited for camouflaging among the forest. The 'Wings of Freedom' crest was embroidered at the back, showing the pride in their battalion. Iris's long legs made the annoying belts look great. It was safe to say that nearly everyone admired her, not only because of her sheer strength but also because of her serene beauty. Once Iris arrived at Levi, several stares were present.
