"I'm telling you Levi, it's dangerous and reckless!" I stomped my way after him as he stood blankly across the kitchen. For half an hour, we've been talking—well, if passively arguing with each other counts as talking, then we were. The argument has taken place for too long that we both started to grow aggravated. I saw the way he rolled his eyes or the way he let go of a few sighs.
"It's a suggestion. Calm down," he muttered before sipping tea. I furrowed my brows. How can I be calm when this suggestion of his means risking someone's life. Fuck. Who am I to talk? I was the one who told Erwin to send us—his soldiers, including Levi and I—to hell.
It was my turn to let out a sigh. I tried to compose myself for the better. We both knew that arguing with each other was useless. "Look, suppose we use that serum on someone... why don't we treat it as our last resort?"
Levi turned to me, tea in hand. I ambled toward him, showing an expression that meant peace and understanding. "Should anything happen to us—or anyone in our squad—we can use that serum to save them, right? I-I mean, that's if we manage to contain the colossal or the armour."
He looked at his chamomile tea, pondering about my suggestion.
"That's exactly what I suggested," he said in a flat tone, which makes me wonder if there was any hint of sarcasm in that reply. Of course there was. It's Levi. I rolled my eyes and let out an annoyed chuckle.
"Really?"
"Look, I get you're tense. But when has my plan ever failed?" I avoided his gaze and mumbled under my breath.
"Oh, because you're so perfect-"
"Iris. What are you mad about?" Whirling around, I locked my eyes onto his.
"Nothing. Okay?"
Just as he opened his mouth to let out another oh-so-wise reply, the voice of a woman intercepted, "Are you two love birds done arguing? Cuz' we really need to go to this meeting." Hange appeared right beside the doorway and she didn't seem too excited.
I gave it up as soon as she arrived but Levi looked at me one last time. "Talk to me," said Levi gently. My only response was shoving his hand away. I didn't know why I was upset. The stress that I received after that talk with Erwin was enough to turn my whole week sour. Not to mention, two months from now, we'll head out to the battlefield again.
Hange and I were walking beside each other when she eyed me with her curious eyes. "Care to tell me what you and shorty were arguing over?"
I knew it. I flashed her a fake smile. "Just normal things."
"Oh really? Because the last time you guys argued was—let's see—seven years ago," Hange joked, trying to make a point. I turned my head to her, glaring.
"It's about the serum."
"Oh, you guys are gonna have fun." She raised one brow and smirked but I only looked at her with bewilderment.
The woman then grinned. "The meeting's gonna be about the serum," she admitted.
"Great."

My right hand thumped against my chest as I saluted the premier, Dhalis Zachary. I then nodded toward the commander, whom I haven't spoken to in days. Opposite Erwin was Commander Pixis, who was rather in his best behaviour.
