Iris slept soundly in her room until her mind wandered off somewhere she never wanted to be ever again. She saw her mom and dad's faces, smiling, laughing and conversing happily with one another. It felt so surreal-- like she just walked inside their old house, revisiting her old memories.

There they were, eating from a basket of fruits that her mom harvested outside. Now Iris remembered what they really looked like. Her dad was blond and had dark blue eyes. He looked a bit on the old side but she remembered he had such bright energy. Iris's mom was beautiful, she had dark hair like hers and a pair of raven eyes that gave off a mysterious aura around her. Despite them being so different from each other, they had similar values and outlooks on life.

"Mom," Iris called out, in her dream and in reality. A tear rushed down her cheeks. Both her parents turned to face her with a grin on their faces.

"Sweetheart, welcome home." She was taken aback. Iris couldn't believe it, she was talking to her parents! After that realization, she ran towards them and squeezed them tight in her arms.

"I missed you! I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I wasn't satisfied with my life before. I don't want to know the outside world, Mom.  I want to stay here with you two." She pleaded, her throat becoming itchy at the thought of crying.

Her mom chuckled, she was staying eerily still and so was her father. It like they turned into mannequins. Their eyes had no life, it looked devoid of any happiness unlike a few moments ago. "You're a monster, Iris." Her mom giggled. The same words came out of their mouths over and over again. Iris held unto her tears and looked at them, confused. Their heads were tilted, showing a creepy smile that nobody would find comfortable.

        "What are you saying?"

Drip, drop. Iris heard what sounded like water droplets falling from the ceiling. When she raised her head, what she thought was water turned out to be single droplets of blood. Her parents chuckled again.

The eyes that only knew kindness were now filled with blood, and apparently, everything else was too. The couch, the table, the futon where she slept-- everything. It all turned into crimson liquid. Eventually, she found herself drowning in a pool of thick, warm blood. Iris panicked, it felt too real. "Mom! Dad!" she yelled to the top of her lungs. Iris treaded in the liquid, her face and body coated with red. As if it wasn't worse enough, Iris started to feel something underneath her feet.

Bodies floated to the top-- bodies of the people she once knew. A yell wouldn't even suffice to express the horror that she felt. "STOP! STOP, PLEASE!" she begged whoever it was that caused the horrifying situation. She saw a lot of familiar faces: Elise, Furlan, Isabel, and hundreds of her comrades floating lifelessly.

Just when she thought it couldn't get any worst, a large hand wrapped around her legs and began to pull her downward. Iris screamed, the dream that she thought was harmless turned out to be a nightmare. She wanted to get out of there quickly but she just couldn't.

As she was dragged in a neverending downward spiral, she felt multiple hands of the people she cared for deeply. Their faces were clear even in the opaque liquid. Erwin Smith held unto her hand strongly. Sooner or later, Hanji and Moblit followed, then her little brother, Mikasa and Armin, her adoptive parents and lastly, Levi Ackerman, he had tears on his face as he held unto her tightly. They held unto her wherever they could.

But it was too late.

The large hand forcefully ripped her limbs apart while her upper half remained intact. Iris breathed heavily in her sleep, her forehead sweating and her legs spasming as if it was out of control.
