Ken's Point of View

Napa-sabunot ako sa sarili kong buhok nang tuluyan nang lumabas si Katrina sa bahay. Hindi ko man lang siya napigilan. Hindi ko man lang siya naipag-laban.

It's already evening for fvcks sake! Something bad might happen to her! Hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko pag may nangyaring masama sa kaniya.

"You did the right thing Ken. That girl don't deserve you. Wag mo nang subukang hanapin siya. Hindi ako nag-bibiro nung sinabi kong itatakwil kita." rinig kong sabi ni Mama.

My hands turned into fist. Kinokontrol ko ang sarili ko na hindi magalit.

"You could've just talked to her in a nice way Ma. You don't have to insult her like that." I said.

"I did not. I just stated a fact." she answered.

"Kahit kailan hindi magiging tama yung ginawa niyo sa kaniya kanina. She's a kind woman! She don't deserve the words that you said to her earlier!"

She stood up. "Ken! Nabilog na ba ng babaeng iyon ang utak mo? Halata naman kung anong kailangan niya sa'yo. Pera! I asked her earlier if she wanted money, house, car or anything but she didn't answered. Baka hindi pa sapat sa kaniya ang mga bagay na 'yon."

"She's not a gold digger!" I shouted.

"Ken! Show some respect to your mother." singit ni Papa sa usapan namin.

"Hindi nga niya nirespeto si Katrina kanina eh." sagot ko.

"Felip Jhon! Your mouth!" dumagundong sa buong bahay ang boses ni Papa.

"Ma, Pa. Calm down." Ate said as she tries to calm them down.

"I can't believe you're being like this just because of that woman!" hindi makapaniwalang sabi ni Mama.

"She is not just a woman. She's the woman that I love!"

"Binilog lang niya ang utak mo Ken. Hindi siya bagay sa'yo. She can't provide you anything. Aasa lang siya sa'yo at sa laman ng bulsa mo."

I shook my head. "Diyan kayo nag-kakamali. Yes, maybe she can't provide me the things that uses money to buy. But she provides my needs that even your whole damn business can't buy."

"Ken-"

"She provides me love and happiness. She made me do things that I haven't done before. She made me love things that I used to hate." I gritted my teeth in irritation. I'm madly shaking. "She made me a better person. Yet you destroyed her by your words. She don't deserve that. You have no rights to treat her like that."

"I love her and I won't let anything or anyone separate us." may diin kong sabi.

Umakyat nalang ako sa hagdan. Kahit anong pag-tawag pa ang ginawa nila ay hindi ko na sila nilingon. They're too much.

I'm so sorry my Kitty. You don't deserve this. I thought they would love you as much as I do. I thought they would understand me. I thought everything's gonna be fine.

This is my fault. Kasalanan ko kung bakit nasasaktan siya ngayon. Kasalanan ko kung bakit siya umiiyak ngayon.

Seeing her cry while walking away is the most painful feeling that I felt in my entire life.
