June 1st ~ one week until Graduation ~ 12:42 pm.
"It was wonderful, Fred," I'm speaking into the phone, a warm smile on my face as I sit on my dorm bed. "Really... I don't think I'll ever forget it."
"I'm glad you enjoyed it, darling," Fred replies over the telephone. "That memory means a lot to me."
"But... can I ask why?" I question curiously, leaning back on my bed. "I mean... you made so many great memories here, Freddie... why that one? Why that particular day?"
I hear Fred sigh over the phone, then respond after a moment with, "well, to start off... that was some of the most fun I've ever had at school. I mean, technically it was at the Three Broomsticks, but all our fellow students were there... it was brilliant."
I grin, replying, "yeah, I remember how fun that was with you. Loads of work, but I'm glad we did it."
"And that's the other reason," Fred pipes up. "I'll always remember that day, because... well, because I saw how awesome you truly are, Elle."
I giggle. "How awesome I am?"
"Yep," Fred says, then continues, "the way you spoke up like that, how you jumped right into helping that woman..."
He pauses before finishing his sentence.
"...that's when I realized how ridiculously in love with you I was, Eloise," he says softly.
I smile, biting my lip as I'm lying on my bed staring at the ceiling.
"You're quite the charmer, Fred Weasley," I tease. I hear him chuckle through the phone as I grin.
"Just telling the truth, angel."
I giggle, sitting up in my bed. "You know, you were pretty adorable all steamed up at George and Lee back then... it was quite amusing to see them teasing you about me."
I hear Fred laugh before saying, "yeah, I guess I was pretty off my rocker... I think I just didn't want to admit how hard I was falling."
"Makes sense... Fred Weasley didn't want to show a sign of weakness," I joke, smirking to myself. Fred scoffs through the phone.
"Exactly," he says, and I hear the grin in his voice. We share a laugh through the phone before he adds, "hey, are we gonna state the obvious here? A certain big day is coming up..."
"Ah, yes, my final night at this beloved school," I coo, hearing Fred snicker over the phone at my sarcastic tone of voice. "In all seriousness, it hasn't really hit me yet. I mean, only a week to go? After all these years?"
"It'll hit you alright," Fred says. "It'll take a minute, but it'll hit you."
I grin before asking, "so when am I seeing you, then?"
"Graduation, of course," he replies promptly.
"Graduation?" I ask, my face falling confused. "Fred, family and friends outside of school don't come to the Hogwarts ceremony-"
"Ah, but that's where you're wrong, my love," he cuts me off. "You're brilliant boyfriend is so committed to his lovely girlfriend that he wrote to the Headmaster and asked that very question-"
"You wrote to Dumbledore?" I laugh, hanging my head back. "Fred, you've outdone yourself..."
"Hey! I'm not missing it for the world!" he laughs. "I'm seeing you, my brother, Harry and Hermione off if it's the last thing I do. Same with George and Lee... I roped them in."
