We all surround him as he stares out a window looking over the city at night. Thor cautiously approaches but the new Android is the first to talk. "I am sorry, that was odd. Thank you."
Thor sighs and the android synthesizes a golden cape to parallel Thor's.
Steve is shooting them both harsh looks, "You helped create this?"
"I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of like, and at its center is that." Thor points at the gold gem on the android's forehead.
                              "What? The gem?" Banner asks.
Thor looks to him. "It's the mind stone. It's one of the six infinity stones. The greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities."
Steve still sounds angry, "Then why would you bring-"
Thor interrupts, "Because Stark is right."
"Oh, it's definitely the end times." Banner mutters to me.
"The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron." Thor starts.
Vision finishes the statement, "Not alone."
"Why does your Vision sound like Jarvis?" Steve asks.
"We reconfigured Jarvis' matrix to create something new." Stark answers.
"I think I've had my fill of new. " Steve retorts.
"You think I'm a child of Ultron." Vision starts.
"You're not?" Behind the anger Steve just sounds tired.
"I'm not Ultron. I am not Jarvis. I am... I am." The Android pauses to contemplate.
"I looked on your head and saw annihilation." The Sokovian girl from before speaks up. To be honest I didn't even realize she was here but now that she speaks up my blood boils.
"And we are just supposed to take your word for it? The last time I saw you, you had mentally wrecked this team. You're not the only one who can look inside heads you know." I can hear the fire in my voice.
"Stand down Magdalene." Steve orders, "They're on our side."
                              "Are they?" I spit back.
Vision looks between us. "Look again, both of you."
Barton scoffs, "Their seal of approval means jack to me. One we barely know and the other well we know what she did."
Thor stops Barton from continuing, "Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all came from the mind stone. And they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side-"
Steve cuts in again, "Is it?" He turns to the Android, "Are you? On our side?"
We all look at the android expectantly. He takes a moment before speaking, "I don't think it's that simple."
"Well, it better get real simple real soon." Barton snaps.
The android begins again, "I am on the side of life. Ultron isn't. He will end it all."
"What's he waiting for?" Stark asks.
                              Vision turns to Stark, "You."
                              "Where?" Banner asks
"Sokovia. He's got Nat there, too." Clint says.
"Then let's go. Let's get Nat."
Banner walks up to the android, "I we're wrong about you, if you're the monster Ultron made you to be..." he trails off.
"What will you do?" Vision asks.
None of us answer out loud but the meaning is clear.
"I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the Earth. So, he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net. We have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and now what you intended. So, there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go." The android picks up Thor's hammer and hands it to Thor and walks away.
If the android, who was formed on the vision of something good, something better. Then he isn't the monster here, I am.
