Damned us all

Karli body slams Bucky into the wall behind him as they jump down before she takes on Sam. Sam knocks her on her ass and turns to Bucky as he extends his wings. "I'll send you the location. Go."

Bucky nods and takes off running as Sam takes flight. I quickly get up and fly overhead Bucky, following him and the directions Sam sends. Karli must be in pursuit of us as we make our way to the old building. I could get to the building faster than Bucky can run, but with Karli potentially behind us I don't want to risk it and leave Bucky alone.

When we get there I land and follow Bucky in. He jumps into a masked guy on the staircase and it's an immediate brawl. Bucky kicks the guy backwards and I pull him over the bannister, spreading out my wings to catch myself while I let the guy talk to the ground two flights below us. Bucky jumps down and tosses him through a wall.

"Stay there." Bucky tells the guy as he groans in a heap on the floor, debris surrounding him.

By the time we catch up to Sam, him and Walker are fighting several more of the masked people. We split up the work taking one of the guys off of Sam and Walker each. The guy I drag away from Walker, pulls a knife and faces me before lunging forward. I jump backwards using my wings to shield me from the blade, crossing them in front of my body and using that as a shield to tackle the guy to the ground. I grapple for the knife, eventually wrenching it from his grasp by head butting him. The guy groans and I give another swift punch knocking him out.

We all turn when we hear a sickening thud, the sound of a body hitting stone far too hard. We all watch Lemar slump, his head lolling to the side. Everyone freezes for a second and the guy holding Walker lets him go.

Walker rushes over to Lemar, "Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Lemar. Lemar." He grabs his face in his hand turning Lemar to face him, "Lemar. Lemar!" You can hear his voice grow more frantic and desperate, he even shakes him a bit.

Karli takes off her mask, stunned at what happened. Sam, Bucky, and myself all stand close to one another and I can feel Bucky's hand on my own, giving it a small squeeze. As Walker slowly rises Karli's gang starts to make a run for it. As Karli runs out the door we take off after her and I hear a crash from behind us. I stop and turn, making my way back and see Walker running far below the broken window.

I shake my head and take a few steps back to get a running start and then leap out the window letting my wings spread far once I'm in open air. I'm doing my best to catch up to Walker and I can hear him yelling as he throws a shield into the back of one of Karli's men.

I make it through the long hallway into the street in time to hear the guy yell out "It wasn't me! It wasn't me!" As Walker slams the shield down into his head. He yells as he does it again and a again, for a second I'm stunned, and then furious.

I fly forward in pure rage and rip Walker off of the guy. "Enough!" I yell. I pulled him back so violently, the shield clatters to the ground as his feet dangle in the air.

Walker looks up at me as we hover above the decimated body laying bloody on the steps of the monument.

I stare down coldly at the man who I have held by the back of his suit. My tone is icy, "You have just damned us all." I drop him on his ass and look at him, he looks truly defeated, and there are dozens of shocked people recording us to witness it.
