Ally

So we ended up having to celebrate our anniversary today because Ben's schedule is just never ending. I'll be the first to admit, it is a bit challenging. But it's exciting to see him doing what he loves. As long as he's happy, I'm happy.

We ultimately decided to stay home and have Oscar cook us a special meal. I don't know what it is he's cooking, but I do know it's going to be good. Oscar is really good at what he does and I don't think we give him enough credit for it. So here I am crediting him for his hard work and dedication.

I don't know what Ben has up his sleeve, but I do know that he's being very discreet. Sometimes he can spoil things, but I think he's just trying really hard not to spoil tonight. I only say this because he asked me for my engagement ring, and when I asked him what he was going to do with it, he just said he was going to get it cleaned.

I haven't seen that ring in two days.

I'm not really pressed about it because soon I won't be able to wear it anyway. But I can probably wear it around my neck as a necklace for the time being.

I walk into our shared bedroom.

"Hi!" I exclaim, waving at Ben.

"What's up?" He said, locking his phone.

"Nothing. I just missed you." I shrug, walking over to him.

I wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his around my waist, placing his chin on my shoulder. He was sitting on the edge of the bed and I was standing up.

"What's the matter?" He asks.

"Nothing's wrong Ben." I say, pulling back.

"Are you sure?" He asked, keeping his left hand on my lower back. His right was holding his phone to his lap.

I nod, pushing a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Alright, I believe you." He said.

I grin, playing with the chain around his neck.

"What have you been up to?" I ask him.

He shrugs. "Planning."

"Planning what?" I look up at him.

"If I tell you, it won't be a surprise anymore." He kisses my nose and I scrunch up my face.

"I won't tell." I plead.

He shakes his head, chuckling. "I'm not giving in Ally."

I grunt. "It was worth a shot."

"Nice try baby." He kisses my forehead, then pats my ass supportively. "Next time."

I leave the room and go into Liam's room. Cleaning up after him can be quite chaotic. Toys and shit are just everywhere. And where is he? In the crib napping.

Anyway, Ben and I decided on a nursery idea for baby number two. We decided on light Gray colored walls with black furniture. That's about as gender neutral as it gets for me.

We haven't started on the room yet, and I'm sure Ben won't let me touch anything in terms of setting up, but I have the vision set.

"You'd think because I'm the mom, I'd actually be involved in setting up my baby's room. But everything must be left to the dad in order to avoid an accident." I mumble to myself.

I wonder if that happened with my mom and dad.

I look down at my bump, rubbing it gently. "Mommy's excited to meet you. And I'm sure your big brother will be too."
